I am a nondenominational Christian and I decided to attend a catholic mass. I attended mass at the Conversion of St Paul Parish on April 6, 2014. The preside was Father Senan Glass and the starting time was 10am. The Conversion of St Paul Parish’s location is 4120 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, Ohio 44103. The church was very big and the stain glass windows were beautiful. At first, I felt uncomfortable because I did not know where to sit or what to do. I really did not have an idea of what to expect. Everything seemed very formal and the service was easy to follow because of the bulletin I was given, which had the order of service on it. The service was concise and it only lasted about an hour.
When it comes to worldviews Catholics and Protestants have the same beliefs. We all believe God is imminent, transcendent, and personal. He created the heavens, the Earth, and the universe that we live in. We were all placed on this earth to glorify, worship, and honor Him. God created us in His own image so that we can know Him personally and have a joy-filled life. He did not make us to automatically love and obey Him, but He gave us a will and a freedom of choice. Since the beginning of time, we have chosen to disobey God and go our own way. This is a result of separation from God and ends in suffering. Through Jesus Christ and salvation, we are saved from the consequences caused by our separation from God. He is the only One who can bring us back to God; He is our salvation.
A Christian worldview leads us to believe in moral absolutes, miracles, human dignity, and the possibility of redemption. True Christianity is more than a set of ideas used at church. Christianity, as taught in the Bible, is itself a worldview. The Bible never dis...

To begin with, it must be remembered that Catholic culture and Catholic faith, while mutually supportive and symbiotic, are not the same thing. Mr. Walker Percy, in his Lost in the Cosmos, explored the difference, and pointed out that, culturally, Catholics in Cleveland are much more Protestant than Presbyterians in say, Taos, New Orleans, or the South of France. Erik, Ritter von Kuehnelt-Leddihn, points out that the effects of this dichotomy upon politics, attributing the multi-party system in Catholic countries to the Catholic adherence to absolutes; he further ascribes the two-party system to the Protestant willingness to compromise. However this may be, it does point up a constant element in Catholic thought---the pursuit of the absolute.
In Charles Colson and Nancy Pearcy's essay, "Worldviews in Conflict," the authors evaluate the shifting cultural context of today's society and how Christianity fits into this situation. The essay compares the differing views between Christianity and today's worldview, and informs the reader on how to engage in today's culture. The "Worldviews in Conflict" is a reliable source because its authors, audience, publication, and purpose make it credible.
The foundation of a Christian worldview is the belief in a personal God, creator and ruler of the universe. The Christian worldview views the world through God’s word, providing the framework for humanity to live by giving meaning and purpose to life. It defines who Jesus is, human nature, and how salvation is achieved. In essence it is the basis of which Christians behave, interact, interpret life and comprehend reality. A Christian worldview imparts confidence, answers to life’s problems, and hope for the future. In this paper I will discuss the essentials of a Christian worldview and an analysis of the influences, benefits, and difficulties sustaining the Christian faith.

Catholicism and Protestantism are both one of the largest sects today. These sects continue to grow in population. They date back to hundreds of years. Although they have their similarities, one sect focuses more on tradition, whereas the other sect focuses more on diversity. Their points of view prove that the sects are immensely distinct from each other.
Every culture have different beliefs. I went to a Catholic church for my cultural plunge project, and it was a new experience for me because it was my first time going to a church. The reason I picked Catholics as my focal group was because that I have heard that many people call themselves Christians, and a few identify themselves as Catholics. However, I thought these two focal groups are the same according to what I learned from my History textbook. I hoping I can use this cultural plunge activity to find out some more about Catholic.
The major divisions of the Protestantism are Baptist, Presbyterians, Anglicans, Methodist, Lutheranism, Unitarianism, and Quakers (www.encyclopedia.com). Even the very first Protestant Reformers were unable to maintain a unity of faith or purpose. The divisions of Protestantism are just an example of the continued fragmentation of the churches. The tendency towards this divineness is a strength to the Protestantism religion.
Benchmark Assignment: Gospel Essentials There are several aspects to consider when exploring the Christian worldview. There are many facets and denominations and they each have their own distinct beliefs and practices, but they all share the same fundamental beliefs. In this paper we will explore the character of God, His creation, humanity and its nature, Jesus’ significance to the world, and the restoration of humanity, as well as my beliefs and the way that I interact with Christianity and my personal worldview. God In the Christian worldview, God is the one and only God. He is the sovereign creator of everything.
After reviewing the worldviews in this course, I now have a substantive view of life. I could say yes indeed I hold a Christian worldview. A Christian worldview is a way of thinking that is Christ Center. This may involve trusting and believing Jesus Christ as the core of your life. My core values involve believing and trusting on the word of God. From instructions to promises, every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God is worthy of receiving with faith and obedience. For example, there are healing scripture to believe in. when we receive the word of God in faith, we are operating in faitha worldview.
My own definition of worldview is set of beliefs about the most important issues in life and my reaction to it. While in agreement with Jeff Baldwin’s eyeglass concept, I choose to compare my Christian worldview to an internal navigational system. When I am lost and need to be found, Christ is omnipresent. He knows my location and guides me into another direction. “It’s a roadmap, a guide for getting around in life, for interpreting reality, and for making choices” (The Importance of Worldview, 2011, p.11). Hopefully my final destination will be in the “city of gold, as clear as glass” (NLT, Revelation, 21:18).
All religions are the same in a particular way, this is most likely due to their unity of faith. Although no religion is truly the same as the Catholic Church, even the churches created during the protestant movement. As St. Cyprian of Carthage stated "Outside the Church there is no salvation." This is because "all salvation comes from Christ the Head through the Church which is his body" (CCC). Since Christ, the founder of the Catholic Church, is the only way to salvation it is easily achieved through the Catholic Church his instrument here on Earth.
In conclusion, my worldview encapsulates the fact that a God exists and he has created the human race in his image. Being created in his image, I am bestowed with God’s character of love, kindness, righteousness, forgiveness, and all other great attributes expressed by him. Our duty as those who claim the title “Christian” is to live with a Christ like attitude and to walk the walk instead of just talking the talk. I need to put my knowledge, talents, and skills to work for Christ till his return. The choice to live my life for him is what gives my life meaning and purpose.
However in contradiction to all this freedom the Vatican Council's declared that there would be only one church of Christ. The Vatican’s declaration on the relation of the Church to non-Christian religions reaffirmed that there is only one Church of Christ that is fully in possession of the truth of the Gospel; that is the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches.
Every person sees worldviews in many different ways. A worldview is a way one sees and looks at the world, this is developed from personal beliefs, experiences, and how they were raised. The Christian Worldview is one of the biggest world’s population. It encloses Jesus Christ, God the father and the Holy Spirit, also knows as Holy Trinity. I am a follower of Jesus Christ and I have faith in God the father, Jesus the son and the holy spirit. This paper will discuss the requirements of the Christian worldview which involve God, human nature, Jesus Christ, restoration of humanity, benefits of a Christian worldview, and finally a reflection on my personal beliefs about Christian worldview.
A worldview is a framework in which everyone views the world. A personal worldview is essential because it bases how one lives his life and makes daily decisions. In today’s culture there are numerous worldviews, but so many of them are wrong. I made the decision to base my beliefs off of the Bible and attempt to always have a Christian perspective in everything that I do. I try to model my actions, words, and thoughts after God in attempt to do all that he has created me to do.
