In this essay I will be discussing the importance of safeguarding within mental health nursing and child nursing, I have chosen to talk about this topic because student and registered nurses include this in their training and continue to be influenced by the importance of safeguarding in everyday practice. The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) states that 50,500 children in the UK are known to be at risk of abuse. As nurses during practice and placement we need to ensure that we follow correct procedures that ensure that barriers are not crossed which will cause safeguarding issues. For Mental Health Nurses (RMN) this could include; ensuring that proper consent is given, ensuring that vulnerable adults in our care are safe and their welfare is

National security is and always will be a huge concern when it comes to our nation. When American’s are asked about what the most important issues with maintaining nation security are, the general consciences is controlling and regulating our borders and entry into the U.S. Controlling not only illegal immigrants but also ensuring contraband like drugs and weapons that can cause harm, aren’t allowed in as well. There are many ideas on how we can control our borders; some say we can just build a wall to keep out all immigrants from illegally crossing. A wall extending the entire Mexican border that runs 5 plus feet under ground to deter anyone from tunneling and 20 plus feet high to keep illegals from being able to climb over. While this may

Ever since day one, people have been developing and creating all sorts of new methods and machines to help better everyday life in one way or another. Who can forget the invention of the ever-wondrous telephone? And we can’t forget how innovative and life-changing computers have been. However, while all machines have their positive uses, there can also be many negatives depending on how one uses said machines, wiretapping in on phone conversations, using spyware to quietly survey every keystroke and click one makes, and many other methods of unwanted snooping have arisen. As a result, laws have been made to make sure these negative uses are not taken advantage of by anyone. But because of how often technology changes, how can it be known that the laws made so long ago can still uphold proper justice? With the laws that are in place now, it’s a constant struggle to balance security with privacy. Privacy laws should be revised completely in order to create a better happy medium between security and privacy. A common misconception of most is that a happy medium of privacy and security is impossible to achieve. However, as well-said by Daniel Solove, “Protecting privacy doesn’t need to mean scuttling a security measure. Most people concerned about the privacy implications of government surveillance aren’t arguing for no[sic] surveillance and absolute privacy. They’d be fine giving up some privacy as long as appropriate controls, limitations, oversight and accountability mechanisms were in place.”(“5 Myths about Privacy”)
The human factor of physical security consists of the people who own the property being protected, the people who work at the property or those that visit the property/protected area, and the security personnel guarding the property.
Individuals have been taught from a youthful age that taking things that do not belong to them is wrong. From first discovering this and growing into young adults’ people become well informed that not only is it wrong but it is considered a crime. The justice system has dictated what makes up a crime and the elements that follow it. It has also outlined how to punish individuals based on the crimes they commit. Sometimes people mistakenly mix up crimes that seem closely related but based on further evidence are obviously different. Two crimes commonly mistaken because they are relatively close in terms is theft and shoplifting.
What's more important, privacy or security? There's an ongoing debate going on between two different groups of people, surveillance supporters and privacy advocates, over privacy. In Bruce Schneier's article, " The External Value Of Privacy", he talks about how privacy is better but in Chris Cillizza's article, " In The Battle Between Security And Privacy, Privacy Always Wins" he talks how security is more important. While Cillizza's article is more specific, it is weaker because he uses a lot of emotional appeals.
They provide a safe environment for shoppers as they have friendly and visible security. Many customers, who demand safety, feel secure and at ease whilst doing their shopping.
Biosafety and biosecurity are related terms but are different in terms of operational definition. Biosafety programs aims to eliminate or at least exposure of individuals and the community to potentially harmful biological agents. Biosafety on the other hand is attained by implementing varying levels of laboratory control and containment using laboratory design and access restrictions, personnel competency-building and training, use of containment equipment, and safe methods of managing infectious materials in a laboratory environment.
There is actually much more than doing just that. Security guards might patrol in a car and others may walk around in buildings to make sure nothing suspicious is going on. Others may patrol on foot. Most government buildings and military buildings are guarded at all times. They also have to direct people to an emergency exit in dangerous situations. Some guards work with security dogs. The only down side of the work conditions is that you may have to work on some holidays and weekends. Very few guards are armed while working. Many industries find weapons unnecessary for security guards. Banks are one of the few businesses that have armed guards. If the guards are standing or on patrol they may be standing at a gate or door. They may have to stand for long hours at a time. Some security jobs can be a routine or repetitive. Others can be dangerous, but exciting. Many security guards just patrol, but a small percentage have to work in an
Not all security guards are out in public, depending on position they can be watching through a camera. For example I would compare my quote to Dillard’s because they have cameras and security but security is looking through cameras and not physically there. “Security guards, also called security officers, protect property, enforce rules on the property and deter criminal activity”. Security guards are protection of a certain property to make sure rules are not broken. Rules are always broken that’s why you have a lower type of law enforcement. Being a security guard is important to understand because it requires a lot of dedication and it’s not only your life that can be in danger. You should always follow procedures and pay attention to your surrounding because you never know when or where danger lies.
