In the department of Health and Human Services, (HHS) it is their duty to protect the well beings such as the health of all americans. This means that they provide effective health services like medicine, public health programs, and by also providing human services like social services. This department was founded on April 11th, 1953 and currently holds over 79,000 employees. HHS was born as the cabinet level department of health, education and welfare in 1953 under President Eisenhower. In 1979, the department of education finally separated from all three departments that were combined already, (HEW) and the department of Health and Human services was formed while the other two departments were also formed into their own independant department.
Health Care workers are constantly faced with legal and ethical issues every day during the course of their work. It is important that the health care workers have a clear understanding of these legal and ethical issues that they will face (1). In the case study analysed key legal and ethical issues arise during the initial decision-making of the incident, when the second ambulance crew arrived, throughout the treatment and during the transfer of patient to the hospital. The ethical issues in this case can be described as what the paramedic believes is the right thing to do for the patient and the legal issues control what the law describes that the paramedic should do in this situation (2, 3). The cost of Medical equipment plays a significant role in the delivery of health care. The clinical engineering at Victoria Hospital is an important branch of the hospital team management that are working to strategies ways to improve quality of service and lower cost repairs of equipments. The team members from Biomedical and maintenance engineering’s roles are to ensure utilization of quality equipments such as endoscope and minimize length of repair time. All these issues are a major influence in the hospital’s project cost. For example, Victory hospital, which is located in Canada, is in the process of evaluating different options to decrease cost of its endoscope repair. This equipment is use in the endoscopy department for gastroenterological and surgical procedures. In 1993, 2,500 cases where approximately performed and extensive maintenance of the equipment where needed before and after each of those cases. Despite the appropriate care of the scope, repair requirement where still needed. The total cost of repair that year was $60,000 and the repair services where done by an original equipment manufacturers in Ontario.
The Henry Ford Health Systems Human Resources department operates under an organized structure. The HFMG is organized as a blend of group and academic practice. In Human Service practices there are 3 models of service delivery used by professionals. These include the medical model, public health model, and the human service model. Each of these models differs in several ways, although the use of all three interactively, can many times provide the most effective outcomes for clients. Human Service professionals should have knowledge of all 3 models in order to effectively serve each unique individual and his or her specific needs.

Healthcare can then be described as an activity or act geared to maintain health. This could be through provision of medical services or any other services that aims at maintaining good health. Healthcare is not necessarily provided when a person becomes sick or loses health but is progressive and should always be provided as a preventive measure. Healthcare system is the organization of people, institutions, and resources to deliver health care services to meet the health needs of the targeted populations. Therefore, we can say that these are systems put in place to meet healthcare needs of a particular population. There are several systems worldwide and in this case, we are going to focus on the US Health care system.
The Human Service profession is a gratifying service because not only is it responsible for clients, it is also responsible for the community and environment. Each field has individual responsibilities but together they help one another. Human Service professionals must make sure that they and their employers are each contributing and working well in order for this to work.
