Optimism Many optimistic people tend to have a broader view of life. This allows them to keep moving forward and strive to do their best. Helen Keller quoted, ‘“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement.”’ This quote shows that staying optimistic only leads to the more positive outcomes later down the road. Optimism can have many different meanings. Because Helen Keller viewed optimism like motivation, she continued to work to overcome her obstacles no matter how challenging. Others have integrated optimism into their everyday life to help decide their future. By doing this, it gives a person expectations on what may happen and the ability to keep moving forward. The definition of optimism is ‘“ the most favorable path upon actions or events to achieve the best possible outcome”’ (“Optimism”). Optimism has been used for many decades in other countries before we used the word in our own language. Optimism has been able to impact me in many different ways. By being optimistic, I am able to reach my personal goals and have a positive view on my life.
