Recommended: What are the importances of the academic integrity

Academic Integrity is very important and it defines how we are as a person academically and shows other people how we work out problems. The definition of academic integrity is when “all work and all grades should result from the student’s own understanding and effort” and has a very understandable meaning. I feel like a lot of people can relate to and follow this meaning as a good motivation during school to not cheat or steal. Most colleges have different policies on academic integrity and they all have different rules but all follow the same code/meaning. The University of Kentucky’s (UK), academic integrity refers to honest and responsible scholarship. It requires the “creating and expressing of one’s own ideas in all course work”. This basically means that everything that you turn in for a grade, has to be made by you and be your own original thinking and not someone else’s. It also requires “Acknowledging all sources of information properly.” This is basically the citation or sources slide or part you’d put on a presentation or doc if you got information on a subject from an outside source.
Another is “completing assignments independently or acknowledging collaboration.” This basically means that you don’t work or collab with anyone else on an assignment or …show more content…

Cheating is not good and nobody should do it, and that’s even if you don't care about your future life. Cheating is like stealing, in the fact that if you cheat on work, in a relationship, etc you will have to face the repercussions and deal with what they have started and sometimes I pity them. Right now I pity myself because I really want to change my actions because if I wouldn’t have given him my answers, I would have prevented this from happening and gone on with my life. All in all, cheating is bad and I will never do it again after
