God is the creator of all. He created everything with a purpose, and gave everything a purpose. That purpose in our life is called God’s calling. In this paper I will discuss what my calling is, how my calling is helping God’s kingdom, and what am I doing to live out my calling in the short term.
According to Webster Dictionary the definition of calling is, “a strong inner impulse toward a particular course of action especially when accompanied by conviction of divine influence.” When I read that definition, I think about my vocation. Yes, my vocation is a part of my calling, but it is not my calling. For a long time, I had been thinking about my calling all wrong. I thought that God would just pop out and give me the answer to what I am supposed to do, and when I say supposed to do I mean work wise. And what I have learned is that, that is okay. My calling is going to change over the course of time depending on what phase of my life I am in. My calling and everybody’s callings are found within our passions. Our callings are things that we find joy in, and that we put all of our heart and energy towards to make it the greatest. Callings are something we make great because we are doing it for God’s kingdom and everything that is for the kingdom needs to be the best it can be.
I am the type of person that worries about everything. All through high school, and even probably middle school I was so worried about finding the job that was going to be right for me, and what would make everybody else happy, and what job would make me the most money. Especially during my senior year of high school, I was so worried about choosing the right college and the right career path. I thought that this certain decision would determine the rest of my
