1. How this film help you to understand particular psychological problems? The film "Dead Poets Society" helped me understand psychological problems that I see on an everyday basis. I understood the issues that the boys were facing. And how to change my way of thinking when it comes to raising children. Especially when it comes down to not pressuring and conforming children to be something that they don't aspire to be. The boys at Welton academy were shelter and thrown into this box of becoming scholars who have to become doctors, lawyers and other prestigious people. The Welton academy held the boys to strict policies. The boys were pressured from their parents as well. Mr. Keating's poetry class challenged the boys to think independently. As well as Mr. Keating wanted to stretch the boy's minds to new levels. Encouraging the boys to live life to the fullest and to live their lives that they want to live. He implanted his students to have a lot of carpe diem in their lives. To seize the day at every moment they have. Everyone was in need to search for their true purpose in life. Mr. Keating helped the boy's face fears that they were embarrassed and afraid to face. The boys reestablished the Dead Poets Society group to unite a brotherhood also to share their thoughts and feelings.
