Playing to win and creating a culture that fosters the mentality of one team, candor, trust, confronting reality and working with conviction to achieve goals while striving to continuously improve has been my attitude since first starting to work in Project Management in August. Working as the Project Coordinator for DaySpring has given me the unique opportunity to work with multiple departments and programs as I status skus on an individual level as well as set up programs, help manage the creation of new schedules, workflow projections and individual problems as they arise. Early on I took responsibility for Tuesday/Thursday Standup meetings to help give all areas of the workflow a view into the DaySpring process, programs and problems to better improve handoffs along the workflow …show more content…
As a result of fostering these relationships and brining different departments together to solve problems we've solved multiple A-3 Problem cards together totaling $35,000.00 conservatively in savings for the company. Confronting reality we addressed that multiple design errors were being delivered by DaySpring causing kickbacks in the workflow and multiple hours of employee’s time at different steps in the workflow. Working with our DaySpring Partners, DWT and Product Integrity we discovered Freelance artists hired by DaySpring didn't have access to Hallmark design requirements and our employees at corporate didn't have a DaySpring contact to be able to streamline problem solving as they came up. By working with these we were able to put in place standardized training materials for freelance artists as well as solidify a contact at DaySpring and ensure future training practices for new DaySpring employees in this role to ensure sustainability moving
Creativity: I believe that the members of the team must be dedicated to reflecting upon the lessons learned in the experience and using those insights gained for continuous improvement of their own work and the functioning of the team.

Over the course of this class I feel like I have become a much better writer. When I go back and look at some of my Journal entries and assignments that I did at the beginning of the semester, I can’t help but tense up at some of the things I wrote. Sometimes the things I was writing didn’t flow well, or I might have even have missed glaring grammar mistakes.
“The team is faced with creating cohesion and unity, differentiating roles, identifying expectations for members, and enhancing commitment. Providing supportive feedback and fostering commitment to a vision are needed from the team leaders (Developing Management Skills).” ... ... middle of paper ... ...
As a second language learner I have never expected myself to be a perfect writer throughout the semester. Even If English was my first language still, I would not be a perfect writer. It is not about first or second language, it is about how well I understand the learning objectives. Then organizing and writing with my own ideas and putting them in my paper. I am going to be honest, I am not good at English subject and English subject is my strongest weakness than the other subjects. In this paper I will discuss and analyze my own writing, reflecting on the ways that my writing has improved throughout the semester.

“If it ain’t broke, then don’t fix it!” It’s an adage that we have heard time and time again. Some blame the stagnant reasoning on tradition. Others are more honest and just refuse to be the ones who ruffle feathers. Some are just bystanders as a whole. No matter what role each person plays in the organizational scenario, the results are still the same. There is no progress. This is something that is recognized by both Christensen and Barker in their views to create a better process.
To start off on the right path, the team must understand what they are working towards. They must be committed to work hard in order to accomplish their goals. Each member should have expectations from everyone and themselves as part of the team.
Ensure individual goals are on par with the team goals. 3. Help the team define themselves and their shared vision. 4. Maintain professionalism always.
(1) I would like to create an optimum work environment by demonstrating collaborative behavior myself. This will inspire my team to follow or model the same behavior (Gratton and Erickson, 2007). (2) I will also allow myself adequate time daily to coach my team on the basis of creativity and innovation to improve business performance (Coutu and Beschloss, 2009). I will give clear direction to my team as to where we are going as a team together. According to Coutu & Beschloss (2009) unless the leader provides a clear direction, there is a real risk that different members will pursue different plans. That is why it is important to articulate a clear direction for my team to makse that everyone is on the same page as we’re moving forward (Coutu and Beschloss, 2009). (3) I will establish a sense of community – When people feel a sense of inclusivity, they are more likely to reaching out to others and share their knowledge to improve effective collaboration in a creative and innovative way (Gratton and Erickson,
I spoke earlier about creating a method in order to improve the workplace for employees in order to increase the success of an organization; this is a project that requires a lot of attention to detail and plenty of consistency. Being an individual with great recognition of detail and efficiency is something that this program needs because that is what the field of Human Resource Management and Development is all about. We need individuals in this field who pay attention to the details that others may miss out on, and individuals who are not afraid to keep going after a couple of failed attempts. If you are wondering why, it is simple because these are the people who at the end of the day to make a greater difference. Simply put, I know this because I have experienced it throughout my undergraduate career at Binghamton University, through my leadership role on campus by organizing forum, banquets and on campus events and it is something I hope to bring to the Human Resource Management and Development program here at
