Daylights Savings time in many ways could be helpful to many people all over the United States and selected parts of Europe. Daylight Savings time is a procedure that every living beings in the areas have to follow and obey. Every spring the clocks are all moved forward ahead an hour and during the time of fall clocks are sent back an hour back to how it was previously before the time method had been introduced. In the years of making the method. It had never been an actual thing that unlike today we actually use. In the year of 1784 this individual that was named Benjamin Franklin had come up with a way that could help with conserving resources for war effort. The acceptance for the procedure required a long wait until it would be accepted …show more content…
and applied. The method was finally applied to the United States and selected parts of Europe in the year of 1918. The method of daylight savings was still being explored and having its acceptance with the world. After many years of being confused mainly with transportation and with business the way of daylight savings had finally settled in.
Travelers all over the world. Some parts of America had an option to opt out of this method until one day congress had forced down the law upon the United States creating a new law to help and strictly set the rules that you must follow upon the upcoming time of the procedure. The law was called “Uniform Time Act”. The Uniform Time Act had set a start time and also planned a stop date for Daylight Savings. Today with all of the research constantly going on around the world the big question of daylights Savings is a big wonder for the world that is getting many requests and studies to see if it had helped America. In the upcoming years the main problem is with energy consumption. A hefty amount of energy is being used mainly by the use of appliances and with lighting. With the day starting at a later time with the sun shining at a earlier time of the day and the sun being up later than usual at night, can surely save a hefty amount of energy usage that people rely on. With the said later morning slowly over the years we can save ourselves a small amount of energy by using less light being that the sun is already up and providing …show more content…
light. After the many years of doing multiple studies. Research starting from the 1970 has shown that Daylight Savings had saved about “ one percent of energy” per day in energy costs. To begin with, driving is a major problem that happens is with driving. In the U.S. Studies with years of data under their belts have concluded that the amount of incidents involving pedestrians is decreasing. the greatest amount of incedents have been around " eight to eleven percent" while in use of the daylight savings method. With the shift of DST the amount of car crashes has also been reduced by around six to eleven percent.
later mornings helps woth pedestrians with walking to school, to work, and with driving. Driving at later mornings helps with seeing the road and with human beings roaming around the road and the cars they loft around in. Following with this logic, you can apply it with crime as well. Crime is a common mess that occurs in all parts of the world. Crimes usually end up being in the night when people least expect anything to happen. during the nights people are exposed to such danger that are amoungst them. Without daylight savings time the dark mornings and the early nghts can cause a great disturbance to people that are walking home from work, walking to school, walking home from school or even doing some errands that need to be done. With later starts of the mornings and the nights DST can help reduce those crime possiblilites. Furtheremore, Daylight savings time is a helpful and quite useful method that is still used today. The confusion has been decreased and a hefty amount of the U.S. has acceptedor has come to term with the method. The energy problem has been resolved by a small percent and activities have been
resolved. These are only small mentions of the many ways you could use the DST method to help prove that it is a great method to have.
Rather than fulfilling its original intent of energy conservation, Daylight Savings Time has not only become an unpopular, discombobulating nuisance but also a potential hazard to public safety and health.
Ring Ring! Nobody likes the sound of their alarm clock when they’re trying to get some sleep. The article entitled “The Teen Who Woke Up Her School” by Jane Bianchi, the video named “Should Students Start Later in the Morning?” by ABC News, and the infographic called “Wake Up Call” by Sarah McKibben, all talk about the efforts that students are trying to make to change the school starting time. Allowing students to be able to sleep more would be very beneficial to attendance, academic scores, and the student’s energy!
Ben Hogan, a famous golfer, once said, “ the only thing a golfer needs is more daylight”. Daylight saving time not only impacts the world’s golf games, it also affects the economy, outdoor activities and comes with many health concerns.Daylight saving time(also know as DST) was used as a way to save energy and have more natural light in the summertime, but it was as affected and it also came with many consequences to the countries and states that still use this time. It was first used in the USA in 1918 and has been on and off for many years , but now DST is used seven months out of the year. There are two times during the year we change the clocks. The first Sunday in March, we “spring forward” with the clocks and the second Sunday in November we “fall back” one hour. However, daylight-saving time should be abolished from the rest of the world that uses this time throughout the year.
Just like all of Earth’s green, society too has found a simple way to use the sun to its fullest potential. Daylight Saving Time is a function that has allowed us to enjoy longer summer days simply by moving our clocks an hour ahead in the spring. This method had became something to consider since Ben Franklin idealized it. Of course it's not the same for everyone, depending on where you are may change when Daylight Saving Time occurs. Although some may say Daylight Saving Time is pointless, it is vital that DST has its benefits.
Daylight savings time has been something that individuals born post World War I have always had implemented in their lives. Many people never really consider the point of daylight savings time until it rolls around twice a year nor do they realize the original purpose. There are approximately 70 countries out of 196 that observe daylight savings time, at least in a portion of the country. Daylight savings time has had many changes throughout the history of it, but is it time to move on? Although there may be advantages such as more natural light, but disadvantages such as the disruptions with our circadian rhythms outweigh the advantages.
Daylight Saving Times is something we do here in the United States every year, where we move our clocks back an hour in the fall, and move them forward an hour in the spring. Daylight Saving Time was established during WWI in order to save energy for war production by taking advantage of the later hours of daylight between April and October. Although it was said to save a lot of energy, today it is extremely difficult to determine the energy saved by this, and it is possible that little or no energy is being saved by Daylight Saving. Which poses the question: Is Daylight Saving necessary in the United States? There are many pros and cons to it, but the cons outnumber the cons, and something should be done about it.
Schools starting Earlier in the day make it easier for students to get to school and be able to do after school activities and their coaches not worrying that they aren’t going to beat the sun for daylight. People say that if school started later that students wouldn’t be tired at school that is false because since students would have to wake up later they would go to sleep later at night making them tired in the morning
School start times should be later because of adolescent mental strength abilities. In the meantime, studies have been shown recently that schools that start later earn better standardized test grade scores. “With early start times, some before 7:00 a.m., adolescents are not getting enough sleep,” says Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren. She explains how teens (adolescents) are not receiving the rest they need to stay healthy. With later school start times, kids can be more awake in their studies, and will pay more attention in school since they are more awake. There is this a rhythm within a person's body called the circadian rhythm which involves release of melatonin in the person's sleep cycle. This is why it is important to not

ways. The use of electricity will reduces the usage of the earth’s resources such as gas and oil.
The sun has been a major aspect of life since the beginning of time. People used many other forms of energy before electricity was discovered. There has been a debate over energy resources for years. Many people are worried about what current energy resources may be doing to the environment. Oil spills and nuclear power plant mishaps have only been a few accidents that have had a big impact on the environment and the people who inhabit it. There are plenty of energy sources that do not harm the environment and are still able to get the job done. Solar energy is one energy alternative that will insure the betterment of the country and, at the same time, protect the natural environment.
Makes you more effective: Being in control of time makes one think clearly and able to make good decision which allows one to be more productive.
Another purpose is parental concern. A lot of times there are some youth who leave the house and don’t bother to tell their parents where they’re going. Most of them don’t even call to check in. This causes parents to worry that something has happened to their child. Curfew can solve this problem because parents will know that their children won’t be out at all hours of the night. ADD MORE
I am not alone in my misery, of course. We all regularly suffer from this self inflicted punishment for some reason. This makes me wonder how mankind ever got along without these machines. Has there always been a compelling reason to get up early? Primitive man rose with the sun to hunt for food and later farmers woke with the roosters to start working a full day on the land. Today we are free from both responsibilities and we usually sleep in dark roosterless rooms. So why can't we sleep late?
The continuous use of a non-uniform time scale by including leap seconds, will definitely cause problems in many walks of life especially now that technology relies heavily on satellite communications that require precise timekeeping. Getting rid of leap seconds will imply moving forward and taking advantage of the new timekeeping methods. As much as we love our beloved earth, it is time to realize that celestial time is not every accurate in this new age of technological development and more precise methods of timekeeping.
