Synopsis The Dannon Company, Inc. is a child company of Danone, a global company that specializes in better-for-you food and beverages. Dannon follows suit by offering 200 types, styles and flavors of dairy products as well as medical supplements, baby food and the bottled water in US markets. Since its start in 1942, Dannon has amped up manufacturing, focused marketing for their line of fresh dairy products and increased market share in domestic yogurt sales. Dannon’s marketing efforts centered on growing yogurt consumption in North America and expanding the category. They accomplished this goal through a commitment to CSR, which is part of the overall mission for of the company. Therefore, they have greatly displayed its CSR commitments and program (Marquis et al., 2011). As evidenced by its mission statement, Dannon took a holistic approach to social responsibility. The social value originated by the parent company, Danone deeply influenced the company’s culture and business practices. In essence, all the people who manage the customers at Dannon Company should understand the communications (Marquis et al., 2011). There is need for commitment of every one in Dannon Company and there is need for total customer experience from marketing of product, to sustaining the societies to create tools to programming by creating messages via content and training.
