One day Anna was so anxious to get home from school so she could use her phone and check Facebook. After being at school for seven hours, she finally went home. When she got to her room she checked her phone and saw that she had a lot of notifications from Facebook. When she checked them, there was an inappropriate picture that someone posted of her. She immediately freaked out and did not know what to do, all she could think of was of how many kids from her school had seen it. People were talking about her and her picture for about a month. She was very depressed. She would harm herself. One day her mom decided to take her to a therapist to help her with depression but it did not help. It can make things harder for people who struggle with a mental illness. Many people think it is okay to say rude stuff on the internet about others, but it is not. A lot of people kill themselves every year due to cyberbully. Second, people might get addicted to the internet. In the video five ways social media screws you over, it says, "Social media is designed to be addictive. Also in think time teens and social network, it says, "Teens spend roughly two hours 20 minutes per day online." If teens are on their phone for that long, they will eventually get addicted to it. Third, there is a lot of people who make fake accounts to hurt others or to get information about people. For example,"24% of teens accept friend request from strangers" (think time teens and social network).
