Cursive Should NOT Be Taught In Schools

Cursive has always been questioned whether it should be taught in school or not. In my opinion i think it shouldnt be mandatory to know. As the years pass things get different. Either things are moved or taught differently or just completely not used anymore. That is something that has happened with cursive. Its not used much anymore.

Cursive was mainly used for giving your signature to sign documents etc. A big part of today's society and always will take a huge role in everyones lives is technology. Everything always had to be scheduled through the phone or in person, now everything such as scheduling appoinment's or a test, etc is through online. Which also means in order to give your signature youd have to give it electronically or an "electronic signature". This makes thing's a'lot easier today and more convenient. All you do is give a signature on a selected device and with just a click of that "ok" button, you are now all set. Now, to me thats much easier then waiting for a printed reciept and signing my name. Why make today's kid's learn cursive when it is no longer used in our day to day lives. …show more content…

Everyday they make more and more ways to sign for something and or give your consent. From my own experience i use my thumbprint for everything. When it comes to opening my phone or downloading a game, or giving my signature. This is more affective to me considering the faults we had with something signing cursive for they're signature and someone doing the same with their name. That cant happen when we use thumbprints for signatures because noone can take your prints off your hands. Cursive was only a huge things because we needed to use it everyday to sign for thing's. Now, that is no longer needed. So there is no need to teach
