Other than drugs, peer pressure etc. In the article., “Criminal Parental Responsibility: Blaming parents on the basis of their duty to morally education their children by Leonie Le Sage and Dorret DE Ruyter” it talks about how several states across the US and Europe that will punish parents and should be held responsible for the crime that was made by the juvenile, but its whether or not if they have the duty to control or their children. It also states: “There is a widespread belief that inadequate children by parents is one of the cause of juvenile delinquency.” After reading that and the rest of the article, it got me thinking that can lack parental guidance can be the main reason behind juvenile delinquency. I don’t think parents don’t look into their children social life because they giving them too much freedom and not enough strict rules in the household. Another thing that I was impressed when reading this article is they did talk about Control Duty and how it related to provide moral education. It states: “parents do not have the duty to control life of the youngster to the same degree.” What does the statement means as parents we can’t control everything that the child do especially if they exploring their interesting in certain activities, but as parents, they have the option it determine whether or not if it ok for the child to do that activity, reasoning because you want to make sure that if they decide to join any activity it should be rules, like if the child want to join something such as cheerleader or football team, they have to make sure that they get good grades in school in order to continue be in activity. Overall, I still think parents should hold responsible for their child behavior they should know more than anyone else of how the way act, such as the type of show they be watching, type of video games they played and also their social
