As I stepped up the worn out stairs, I had a big urge to lay in my bed all night. I had to get up for work the next morning. Later that night i went to sleep immediately. 5 am hit the clock and i had to get up. I put my clothes up and went downstairs for breakfast. “Good morning dear. I made you some eggs and toast it’s on the table for you,” said the landlady. I headed off to work right after I had my delicious breakfast. When I showed up for work, there was a strange feeling. The boss walked into the room and said “May I have everyone's attention? We have two new guys who will be joining us today. There names were Christopher Mulholland and Gregory Temple Something in my head was telling me that i've heard of those names before. I couldn’t stop thinking of there names. I decided to go and talk to them. …show more content…
I can’t stop thinking of their names. The only thing that comes to mind is the landlady when i try to think of them.I kept repeating their names in my head. Then it hit me like a train. I read their names from that book in the landlady’s house. At the bed and breakfast.I only had a couple hours of work left. I’m gonna rush back home and check out that book in front of the fireplace. It was five in the afternoon and was time to get out of work. I got in the car and sped away. I got out of the car and rushed straight in the house like fleeing mice. I see their names written out above mine. I’m gonna ask them if they remember this house and if so i might invite them over. The landlady walks into the room. “You looking at those names I see” she
I come home from college and see my mom cooking dinner over the stove as I walk up the stairs. My tiredness sets in as I rush to my room to put down my heavy bag. My mom yells to me as I start to change my clothes.
That night I couldn't go to sleep.Every inch of me was wide awake and full of excitement.Holding onto every sign of morning I drifted off. Before I knew I was
As my brother, sister, dad, and I pull up to the house, I look at it with uncertainty, not knowing what to expect. It was a small blue house and had flowers planted around it. We walked up to the house with me in the lead. That didn't last long though. I was too nervous, so I stood still and turned around, waiting for my dad to get ahead of me.
I was too excited to sleep that night so I just stayed up and read. It was finally 4:30 in the morning and time to get up. After a quick bowl of cereal. I jumped in the pickup and drove to where I was going to hunt. It was still dark when I got there so I grabbed my stuff and started up the mountain. I got to where I wanted to glass from, and waited for it to get light, so I could start looking for elk.
Been so enamored with a book you found in Barnes & Nobles that you spent the entire day huddled in a small corner on the floor until you’ve finished it
It was the middle of the night when my mother got a phone call. The car ride was silent, my father had a blank stare and my mother was silently crying. I had no idea where we were headed but I knew this empty feeling in my stomach would not go away. Walking through the long bright hallways, passing through an endless amount of doors, we had finally arrived. As we
The sound of my alarm buzzed while I struggled to get out of bed. I wiped my eyes and got out of bed. My mind was packed with thoughts and emotions. That day was a very special day for me. I had prepared for that day for months if not years. Just thinking about it, made me nervous. It was tryout day for the high school golf team. Even though I was on varsity since freshman year, I was still nervous because there was always the possibility that you can get booted if your performance is sub-par. After staring at the wall for a solid minute, I shook myself out of the trance I was in and continued with my routine. Minutes passed, and I was ready to go to school. I loaded my car up with my clubs and started for school. I had a hard time keeping
“Mr. Avogadro, your employ Erda is here to talk to you about you cutting his job so you can pay for that swimming pool.” said the secretary. “What makes you think that I have any time to talk to any employee?” replied the boss. “But this is your job your Mr. Avogadro, and it should not talk much time at all, will you let him in?” asked the secretary “I suppose, but it must be quick and then I shall have no other appointments for the rest of the month!” he agreed. Into the room walked Erda letting the silence linger for a moment and then his boss broke the silence. Directly staring into his face he said in a loud strong voice, “State your reason for a worthless employee like you would dare to interrupt somebody as important as myself to come
As we walked through the woods on the dark cold night in October we notice screaming of what we had thought to be the neighbor girl. We creep closer to the large mansion and climb the gates to get in the massive front yard. As me and my friends Kevin, Douglas, and randy reach the front door, we slowly creep open the front door, we hear screams and yells and very quickly leave the situation. We head back to the house for the night and decide that we will make a plan and return to the mansion tomorrow.
I started to drift off at work and was starving as hell. My break is in another hour. *Sigh*. *SIGHED HARDER*. She couldn’t resist the hunger and was so tempted to leave her office and get some lunch, but she remembered her boss Aaron.
I'm immediately seated, and I browse the thick green menu. There is a white tablecloth, and cutlery folded into the napkins. Scanning the menu, I see there is sandwiches, soups, coffee, and different pastries. Out of the corner of my eye I see, a young, beautiful, blonde waitress walking my direction. “Bonjoure! And welcome to my corner of France. My name is Alana, and I will be serving you today. What can I get you”, Alana smiles at me. I'm tounge tied, her beauty has distracted me, and I forgot what I was going to order. “Uh. Um. I,” is all I can get out of my scratchy throat. She looks down at me” forgive me. Were you not ready yet.” “Erm. Um. No Mame! I am ready. My apologies, I have had a long journey here.” She gets her notepad out, and clicks her pen. Alana blows a strand of hair out of her face, “ An American boy, you are far from home.” I smile and return my gaze too the menu, “Ha yes.” Alana opened her mouth, but a man shouts from across the restaurant “Alana, leave the poor man alone, and get him his lunch!” I can tell she is embarrassed, her cheeks turn a rose pink, she pushes hair behind her ears and mumbles “Right.” I look back at her “ I think the soup special and a crosaint will be nice” she chuckles and scribbles my order
Daddy grabbed the remaining things and we jumped into the car. Daddy drove out of the driveway and onto the desolate street along trees. They are very tall trees. I remember daddy cutting down a tree that was close to the bedroom window. An inch bigger and it would poke right through.
My Adventure in America It was 4:00 a.m. in the morning. I was in the bed rolling left to right to get a comfort position. The bed was comfortable but I was not comfortable emotionally. This morning was important to me, because I was scared of seeing my mom for the first time.
As I stepped into the old, raggedy house, I saw an eerie light glowing from the inside. Carmichael said, “ Are you guys sure this is a good idea?” “Yes, what we see in here can be an amazing discovery!” “I agree with Randall let's go in.”, said Peter. I carefully opened the door, scared for what was going to happen next.
I awoke to the sound of my phone's alarm buzzing in my ear. I groaned at the thought of having to get up so early. I sat up and didn't move from there for a couple minutes then, decided to get out of bed and go to my closet to find some clothes to wear. Once I got dressed (A/N: picture of outfit above) I headed toward the bathroom to brush my hair. My hair is a natural black, which I like. When my hair was brushed, I grabbed my phone and went outside to wait for the bus.
