ASSIGNMENT – PERSONNEL & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
DILEMMA: Use of Corporate Resources Issue.
The Dilemma I choose here is “Corporate Resources Issue”. I have always been an
honest, trustworthy, punctual with exceptional relationship management skills and
proven abilities in forging business alliances for smoother operations. As a worker
I care about ethics because most of us prefer to work for ethical organizations.
Therefore the values that matters most is always to be faithful and dislike the
peoples or events which are not streamlined with my thoughts. I appreciate people
who takes a logical and systematic approach to resolve problems and maintain the
highest quality standards whilst also minimizing the cost, and the issue here is
related to corporate resources. Here the co. employee Pat Brown , who files to
claim the fraud expenses on restaurant bill and not even attend conference on any
day. On the other hand I consider myself to be an enthusiastic , highly motivated
and hard working person and enjoy being a part of the team as a contributing
member and expect the same from others. I respect my fellow colleagues and take
pride in my work but here the colleague is not up to the mark to the values which
I describe above . I believe it is unethical behavior of Pat which may be a result of
companies week Human Resource policies.
COURSES OF ACTION
The two course of action which I would like to take in this situation in the welfare
of both the company and employee will be described below:
1. To tell the Ethical/Moral values to Pat
First of all I would like to tackle the situation by warning Pat that you have
not done your job what he was asked to do ( attending the weeklong
seminar)...
... middle of paper ...
... moral
judgment about that issue . And will ask manager to establish an intention to
act upon the judgment , what he thinks to be right in that case and will
finally act according to the manager intention.

Tests and decisions are as numerous in any man's life as are the beats of his heart. The consequences follow him forever - he is judged by them and they affect his entire existence. However, judgement should not be passed on a man's single decisions individually, but only by observing how he has chosen to live his life.

I believe I have many skills and talents that I can contribute to N.H.S. I’m level-headed and cool under pressure so in times of havoc, I’ll be there to calm people down and not go crazy. Also I’m a team player which is very important. Some people like to do things solo, but N.H.S is an organization where you have to work together to help accomplish the goals. Also I’m very hard working and dedicated so I won’t give up. There are people who give up when an obstacle they can’t pass comes their way, however I’ll keep trying until I beat it. Personally I’m good at problem solving, innovative, and versatile. If I know what to do then I'll get the job
According to Mallor, Barnes, Bowers, & Langvardt (2010) “modern corporation law emerged only in the last 200 years, ancestors of the modern corporation existed in the times of Hammurabi, ancient Greece, and the Roman Empire. As early as 1248 in France, privileges of incorporation were given to mercantile ventures to encourage investment for the benefit of society. In England, the corporate form was used extensively before the 16th century. In the late 18th century, general incorporation statutes emerged in the United States” (p. 1009).

The many stakeholders in this case include George, the city of Hondo, current employees, environment and the company. George relocated his family and stands to lose his position if the company is moved to another location. He is faced with the decision of continuing to allow the emissions to soar above the EPA guidelines, at the current location by scheduling the heavy emissions work at night, therefore causing more damage to the environment. Furthermore, should he instruct the company to relocate to the new location the environment would still be affected on the U.S. side. By continuing to be above the benchmark of emissions the environment, employees and citizens are affected. “The environmental issues managers face are not simply about trees and water and birds. These issues affect all people, including the managers themselves.” (eGuide, p.2) In addition, the employees are stakeholders because they face losing their source of income. Lastly, the company is a stakeholder because they stand to face the cost of relocating or continuing to suffer from fines. The interest for each stakeholder is a loss of monies and the environment continues to be affected.
Welfare is the most common method for the poor citizens in the United States. It provides cash support to low-income families with children, mainly raised by a single mothers. This occurs in the 1990s. The welfare reform has some very positive effects on people’s lives. The Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) program and Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) program was founded in the year 1996 (Cozic 47). This exceptional reform forced work requirements for the programs. These requirements which were given to a large amount of people and by the use of agreements it would cut off benefits for people who did not cooperate. The reform also enforced bounds on the reception of benefits. Welfare has had an impact on parents and children lives for years; but case studies are repeatedly saying there isn’t enough money to supply these families; at some point the government should consider another way to provider direct assistance for families suffering from these cases. As a result of the reform, the program was deeply affected and things changed drastically: single mothe...

To start off on the right path, the team must understand what they are working towards. They must be committed to work hard in order to accomplish their goals. Each member should have expectations from everyone and themselves as part of the team.
These points are just three of many that could be used to describe a hard worker, they are the three that I fell are the most important. With a good mix of knowledge, punctuality, and willingness to do a job well anyone can get a job. The idea to work hard is in everybody, it’s just finding a way to tap into that ability in yourself. Using these methods will help land a job and keep that job for a long time.
Obtaining the position of human resource director for an organization that has not had a structured and directive human resources department has various challenges. It is likely that as XYZ Company has grown from a small software development firm they have neglected one of their most important aspects of business that contributes to the success of the organization: their employment practices. Employees and employment practices have evolved over the years and the personnel departments that we once relied on mainly for the hiring and firing processes have evolved to meet the expectations and demands of State and Federal laws and regulations, the work force, and organizational strategies that the company has adopted in order to remain competitive and successful in the marketplace. The processes and procedures that now need to be observed by the “personnel department” requires greater knowledge, skills, and abilities regarding laws and regulations, current and potential employee needs and demands, and has paved the way for the transformation of the human resources professional to become an integral member of the management team in an organization.
I am enthusiastic, energetic and always display positive behavior. I am very cordial and willing
When people ask me to help them, I am very enthusiastic and give my best to finish the task for them. That’s one of the reason that people always want to make friend with me if they know me. In addition, I am good at resolving conflict because I can understand the situation well and I can use the right reasons to explain to people involved in the conflict to know who is right and who wrong and what the solution is. Therefore, many people have come to me to help them solve conflicts they have with other people. And I have never failed to help them do it. Besides, I am a good team player. I am able to communicate well with other team members and I often contribute smart ideas when my team look for a solution to some problems or try to do some tasks given. Team working is one of my strong points. I am also a good listener. I always appreciate other people’s ideas. By carefully listening to them, I can learn new things and can also
