My supervisor, Malia Brown and I interviewed Natalia Uvino on October 26th, 2015 at our office. Natalia prefers to be called Natty. Natty prefers he and him pronouns. Natty is 17 years old. The respondent mother (RM) is Angelina Uvino. The respondent father (RF) is John Uvino.
Malia and I welcomed Natty to our office, and thanked him for being able to meet before the next court date. I explained what confidentiality was and the purpose of meeting before the next court date. Natty understood and then we began our interview.
School
Natty told me that school was going okay. That his school is primarily for LGBTQ students. Natty has attended Harvey Milk High School for two months. Natty said that he is getting all the resources that he needs.

Natty is transitioning from female to male. Natty will start t-shots next month. Natty said that her social circle is not big. Natty spends all of her free time with his partner or in his room. Natty’s partner is transitioning as well.
Visits
Natty said that visits with RM are going well. RM comes frequently. That RM is the most supportive of Natty through this process and the most accepting. Natty still wants to live with RM. Natty does not like living at his paternal grandmother place but better than foster care. Natty has his own room. Natty leaves early and returns late in order to avoid everyone in the home. Natty’s grandmother says offensive comments to Natty and Natty responds by locking himself in his room. In the grandmother’s home Natty’s aunt, uncle, and cousin reside there as well. Natty said that they aren’t supportive of him at this time so he just does his best to avoid all of them. Natty said RF rarely visits. RF comes infrequently. Natty gave us permission to speak with RM around scheduling of appointments.
Thoughts/Recommendations
Natty seems to be adjusting to his new school. Natty is getting the necessary resources and supports from his school. Natty should live with RM when RM finds
The person’s care I have chosen to analyse is that of a 65 year old female, for the purpose of confidentiality she will immediately be known throughout as Mary (NMC 2008). Mary was admitted to the continuing care unit where I was placed. Although Mary had come into the unit as a new admission, she has been known by the trust the unit resides in for over 10 years. Mary has only one known relative, her next of kin whom was married to her deceased brother. Mary was admitted as an informal patient, meaning she had not been sectioned under the Mental Health Act (1983). She was also deemed as having full capacity in regard to the Mental Health Capacity Act (2005).
There was a few things common with each student at the SharpsTown High School and one of those things are their past lives. Most didn’t have a family that really cared for them or none at all. The ones that did, really didn’t have the best, if I had a choice , the best family relationship would be Marco and his family, but that’s none of my business. For the rest of them, they seemed to have doubts
The Walls’ children were faced with medical neglect from Rosemary and Rex Walls’. Medical neglect means failure to provide adequate medical or dental care for their child. Jeanette was only three years old when she was cooking hot dogs on the stove unattended. Incidentally, her favorite dress caught on fire and burned Jeanette from her stomach to her face. After, Rosemary grabbed Brian and Jeannette and hurried over to the trailer next door. The doctors said Jeannette was lucky to be alive. The doctors took patches of Jeannette’s skin from her upper thigh and put them over the most badly burned parts of Jeannette’s stomach, ribs, and chest. Jeanette was in the hospital for about six weeks when Rex appeared alone in the doorway of Jeannette’s room. Rex told Jeannette they were going to check-out, Rex Walls-style. A nurse yelled for Rex to stop. Instead he broke into a run. This is both medical abuse and medical neglect because Jeannette should have never been at the stove in the first place. Especially since Jeannette was only a toddler. Rex or Rosemary should have been preparing this meal for Jeannette. Furthermore, Rex should have never taken Jeannette out the hospital without signing relea...
The format of the meeting was extremely organized and much more formal than I anticipated. The meeting opened up with the “we” version of the serenity prayer. Following this
The meeting started off with both parents who were present at the meeting and Nathen himself after ten minutes once the meeting started. The first topic that was discussed at the meeting was the future of Nathen. He is in his last year and they parents has to make decisions regarding what are his plans for the future in terms of college, separate housing, living alone, or living with them. The parents felt like he was not ready for college or living alone, so they said he would be living at their home as of now. Nathen’s parents talked about sending him for additional schooling but not college to help keep him as sharp as possible and to pick up skills to help him find work. Having Nathen find a job in the community seemed very important to Nathen’s parents and Jessica Evans his special education teacher. Nathen as spoken with both groups to discuss what type of job he would be most interested in, which were working with pets or
To prepare myself for the interview I made show to review the initial and new referral that was taken by telephone. It was important for me as a caseworker to familiarize myself with the situation that initiated the phone call by Maria of my client, Mr. Antonio Consuelo. From the conversation earlier with Maria, I had gathered that his wife had died. Therefore I surveyed my office and was happy to realize that it was decorated in a neutral fashion in such manner that my clients could not recall traumatic memories from my own private life like photograph of my own spouse and family members.

The similarity between confidentiality, privilege information, anonymity, and protected health information is small when comparing their differences. Although they all protect clients in some extent, they are distinct from one another regarding their boundaries. Confidentiality focuses on protecting information shared between a client and social worker. To keep confidentiality between a social worker and clients, the social worker must keep the information away from the media, and away from court unless they must report it under law. Privilege information is any information that cannot be disclose, and cannot be part of a testimony in court. Anonymity is when the clients’ identity is kept a secret. Protected health information is any information
I stayed within the agency’s confidentiality policy guidelines by following the regulations of the policy. TCC Counseling center confidential policy states that every counselor must provide free and/or confidential assistance to TCC students. Before receiving personal counseling students are encouraged to complete the TCC’s confidential form often provided by the counselors or accessed online.
Confidentiality is a pivotal component of special education. Individuals with Disabilities Education Act establishes many laws for confidentiality. Parent consent must be obtained before a school to release information to any party outside of the school (Yell, 2012). When looking at the soccer scenario it is important to keep the laws in mind (Ashbaker & Morgan, 2013, p.175). The paraeducator would feel comfortable to disclose information to her sister-in-law because she is a relative. Many people are very comfortable with disclosing confidential information to a relative or other loved one. I find that this can be very risky when looking at the location in where I live. The village has a population of about 700 people. Due to this fact it is
How far should journalists go to protect their sources? Confidential sources should only be used as a last resort because in some extraordinary situations there is precedence in which it is warranted or morally advisable to reveal a source; therefore a journalist should only extend anonymity when it is absolutely necessary to get the story and if a journalist feels so strongly that his or her source must be protected, then he or she should be willing to go to jail to do the protecting.
The many aspects of data security are integral and critical with any businesses or home computer user. These areas include Client information, payment/transactional information, individual files, banking information and proprietary intellectual property. These forms of data and information are difficult to replace once lost. Though data security often refers to protection from unwanted hackers, spyware and viruses it, also, comes in the form of natural disasters with the likes of a flood or fire. The later forms of data loss are just as damaging as those from hackers, viruses, spyware, Trojan horse or a malware infection. To answer the question why data security is important is because the damages
The sessions that I had with Marc thus far has proven to be effective in my efforts to give him another perspective on his own position of his self identity. Along with working with me, Marc is working with his disability service counselor and two other counselors in the student’s center. I have consulted the other two counselors who are working with him in creating his student education plan. I have also consulted with my direct supervisor with what I am working on and discussing what is working and not working for him. Again, I am very cognizant of his speech impairment and his disclosure of his disability. Marc is utilizing all of his resources to his best ability to get the most out of what he wants in education at American River College.
encourages the healthcare team to take precautions to ensure that only authorized access occurs. In spite of the precautions; there are still circumstances that challenge the scope of information subject to confidentiality.
The client confidentiality at my practicum agency is very similar to the principles of CASW. SCI Alberta organization is achieving a great work in the area of confidentiality practice in all sectors of their services. I have witnessed that their organization is contributing a great effort to keep client confidentiality. According to SCI Alberta policies the identity of clients, or information that would reveal the identity of clients, cannot be revealed without the specific permission of the client. SCI Alberta organization the only exceptions are in cases in which clients may be dangerous to themselves or others and in cases of elder abuse. In such situations, they are legal requirements to break the confidentiality of the client for their
