The competitive wage is a wage the reasonable based wage which is based off the qualification of the employee. The competitive wage will be different based off the location of the company. For instance, the company with an Iowa branch will have one wage but a different wage for the branch in Texas. This is due to the cost of living and the competitor pay for the same or similar position. The Bureau of Labor Statistics provides salary ranges for different jobs.
