As a preschool teacher, My goal is to make sure I provide a healthy and safe learning environment. I maintain this environment by providing a clean and sanitized area for the children, cleaning it daily. I have rules for inside and outside of the classroom to ensure the safety of the children and myself. When teaching the children, I sit them on a carpet and I either sit in a chair or sit right on the floor with them so I could be at their level. This teaches children how to sit on carpet properly as we do circle time each day. As I’m going over the colors, shapes, letters, and numbers, I’m holding up the item and picture displaying each one. I hold up each item so the children can see and later identify. Each week I’m teaching a new theme.
I try to add in the theme lesson plans an activity the child leads through being creative and with all sorts of materials available. I have observed when you allow a child to be hands on and leading the process they become more interested in the information, and excited to ask questions even to share with everyone what they made and how it fits with the lesson.
Morality, which is one’s general standards about right and wrong behavior, also includes prosocial behavior and other traits such as honesty, fairness, and concern about other people’s rights and welfare (Omrod, 2014). Both morality and prosocial behavior involve multiple parts of the brain, emotions and complex reasoning abilities. Some age-typical characteristics for preschool aged children include, some understanding that behaviors causing physical or psychological harm are morally wrong, a sense of guilt and shame about misbehaviors that cause harm to others, also display empathy and sympathy, and children at this age also show an appreciation for the need to be fair.
It is my strong belief that each child is entitled to a safe, secure, stimulating and caring learning environment. I always believed that each child is a unique individual with much curiosity and many academic, social and emotional needs. Children need our support in order to mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. As a teacher, one should aim to help students in fulfilling their dreams to become successful and educated individuals. We must provide them with a safe learning environment for their learning to succeed.

As a teacher I believe that the most effective way to teach children is teaching through play and example by using pictures and gestures. Children are motivated to learn when they have opportunities to make choices in an environment that are inspiring and stimulating. Children are interested from infancy and have a desire to learn from their environment and those around them. When children are encouraged to interact with their peers and adults in positive ways, they feel safe to explore their surroundings. I as teacher have the opportunity to nurture and educate my students on all levels, making sure that my students are being taught developmentally appropriate
What separates a good teacher from a great Teacher? “First and foremost a teacher must love working with children. No matter how well you teach, there is always room for Improvement ” (Killen,2009.p.100) .In this Essay I hope to show some of the key attributes, that I consider essential to becoming an effective early childhood teacher. Those key aspects are communication, building lasting relationships, engaging students effectively in the learning process, and encouraging and appreciating diversity in the classroom.
As an early childhood educator it is my job to ensure that my classroom provides a safe and secure environment that is easily supervised with enrichment activities that are rich in play, teaching, people and experiences for all children within the classroom. Things that need to be considered when building an environment for children include space, equipment used, outdoor space needed and a flexible schedule that allows you to move in and out of the areas with smooth transitions.

My own attitudes, values and beliefs towards children learning and development are to be sensitive and easy approached. Have friendly staff that relates to children well and are friendly and vetted. To have a structure routine so that children know what they are doing so they are not stressed out. Do regular observations on children to see what their development stage is at and do active listen towards the children to show that their opinion matters. Have equality and diversity in the setting so that everyone is accepted.
Something special in my life is that I’ve always been around little kids, most of my cousins have kids and my family doesn’t really have teenagers it’s only me and sister and the rest are younger. So my whole live I’ve been surrounded by younger kids and I have experience, and I’m really good with children. I like teaching them something new me and my sister taught my little brother and niece how to multiply before they learned in school and that was fun and happy seeing them learn something. I’ve always wanted to be a teacher since I was little it was always on my mind and till this day I still would like to become a teacher for elementary schools.
Teaching is defined as the occupation, profession or work of a teacher (Oxford Dictionary, 2017). Moreover, an early childhood teacher is a person who educates young children and plays an important role in their social and intellectual development. The curriculum of early childhood education aims to provide children with a holistic development. Furthermore, the curriculum states that teachers are sources of information and authority while knowledge is absorbed through lectures, worksheets, and texts (Wingra school, 2012). The roles and responsibility of the teacher, however, is quite challenging as they have to create a stimulating learning environment to encourage experimentation, be able to guide and extend children’s thinking often using

It is my desire as an educator to provide my students with the learning environment necessary to motivate and inspire each and every one of them to become to their fullest potential. For myself, teaching is about giving; giving the students support and security, giving them respect and dignity, giving them opportunities to succeed and a quality education, and not only giving them my time and effort but also giving myself. Our society requires its children to not only receive a solid education, but that they are taught by a highly qualified educator who is sensitive to their individual needs and deeply committed to their success. I am such a person and will always strive to do the very best by my students.
Everytime I walk into the classroom, I try to accomplish making every child feel equal and cared for. I never know what a child’s home life is like, but I do know I can create a safe haven for them. I am trying to make them into a better person each and everyday. I try teaching them something new everyday.
Preschool programs began in the United States during the first quarter of the twentieth century with the first public preschool opening in 1925 in Chicago at Franklin School. After the 1970s the popularity of preschools increased as women were entering the workforce and people believed that children needed initial skills before they attended elementary school. In today's constantly changing world, our children and youth need to learn inquiry-based, problem solving skills to that they may become successful members of society and live productive lives.
