Many things are different in the Judeo-Christian and the Islamic religions, but what they follow as “guidelines” is what really shows how one would act in each religion. The Ten Commandments, for example, have ten basic rules, for example: “Thou shalt not steal” and “Thou shalt not kill” are basic ones that almost every human being would follow, even if you don’t believe in the Judeo-Christian faith. The Ten Commandments is a movie about the book of Exodus and Moses. The movie began at the first order to kill all Hebrews under the age of two. Here Moses is cast off into the Nile and the story begins. It ends with the end of Moses’s life and Joshua taking over. The movie, for the most part, stayed true to the book of Exodus, but some detail and major plotline were different. The movie was good, but the added love story and power struggle made the movie a little off topic. The story itself, Moses being adopted, raised, sent away, and then came back and freed the people is the same, so Exodus is followed in a general way. Some detail is not, like some of the plagues are different (Plague seven was just hail, not hail on fire), and some characters are not existent in the Bible, but appear in the movie. The movie was very good and is one of the best Moses and Passover movies of all time. The only flaw was the details that the movie lacked or were incorrect.

An average person tries to follow a set of beliefs, an above average person follows a set of beliefs. Tons of people argue whether they should follow the Ten Commandments or the Beatitudes. The Ten Commandments can only be viewed one way while the Beatitudes seem vague and can be construed in a multitude of different ways. The Beatitudes look complex and confusing, whereas the Ten Commandments demonstrate simplicity, if a culture had to choose a set of rules to live by, the Ten Commandments would lead to more prosperity and well-being. Generally speaking, the Beatitudes seem to confuse people.
Though Muslims and Judaism share many similarities and differences they are both considered ground breaking religions in their own right. The most important point of comparing the two is both deem Jesus Christ as one of the most quoted prophets. Both religions believe God blessed them through Abraham and his sons. Isaac for the Jews, and Ishmael for the Muslims. Both religions really have more in common than the world actually cares to see. However their likeness is what keeps them at war. In my opinion, the last three pillars of Islam, mentioned above, connect the Islamic people the most. The Third pillar, Zakat, or charity to the poor, requires each Muslim to pay 2.5% of everything he or she owns to the poor each year. Muslims believe and live by the Five Pillars, which is Declaration of Faith, Prayer five times a day, Charity of Alms, Fasting during Ramadan, and Pilgrimage to Hajj. They’re divided into Sunni and Shiia. Lastly the holy cities are Mecca and Medina. This religion is the most popular in the Middle East.
The Ten Commandments monument should be removed is because it was put there dishonestly. If the circumstances of this situation were different, in that case I would agree that the Ten Commandments monument should stay. Then I take into consideration how the monument ended up in the public courthouse, and I can see why it should be removed. Perhaps the monument should not go away where it will never be seen again, but taken to a place where it can be seen by anyone that wishes.
