Working at a restaurant has its ups and downs just like any job does. I have spent seven years of my life working at Mexican restaurants, although none are the same. I am currently working at Zapata’s Grill, which has been a great job opportunity for me. Previously I worked at El Dorado, which was slightly similar but different from Zapata’s grill not nearly as great of a job. Which comes to my conclusion why Zapata’s Grill is better than El Dorado due to the Wages, Friendly environment, and lastly convenient policy. Zapata’s Grill has helped others and me in a financial way that the wages are higher than El Dorado. The wage increase at Zapata’s Grill begins after just two years of working there where in El dorado you need three or more …show more content…
years. The starting salary was higher than El dorado by fifty cents more for servers. The opportunities that are given for employees at Zapata’s are great where I worked from dishwasher to Assistant Manager. The environment at Zapata’s Grill has friendly atmosphere due to the coworkers, my current coworkers are more organized and well mannered.
The location at Zapata’s Grill is at a single building in a small town where El Dorado was in a busy shopping center and bigger city. Since El Dorado was a bigger city the coworkers were from various countries that conflicts happened frequent. Zapata’s Grill is family owned making it easier to speak with the owners where El Dorado was owned by distinct people and were hardly there. Policies at these two jobs played a role on how I worked and benefited from the responsibilities given. Zapata’s policy on cleaning was well organized and I knew exactly what I was doing for my assignment on that week. On the other hand El Dorado would change up our cleaning often sometimes daily. Zapata’s Grill are more flexible with working around your schedule helping you out. El dorado had a very strict policy on arrival if I arrived 10 minutes late I would have to take the day off, where Zapata’s they give warnings, which personally are great for me. In conclusion, Zapata’s Grill has overall a better working environment, acceptable wages, and lastly a great policy. I have enjoyed my three years at Zapata’s Grill and I look forward to more. I have realized that no two jobs are exactly the same even though they cover almost identical working
areas.
One of the major differences between the two restaurants is the quality of their food and their services better provided to the customer. In-N-Out Burger is all 100% fresh product. The meat is never frozen, the lettuce is handpicked every day, and the potatoes are peeled and diced daily. The meat that In-N-Out receives is fresh and needs to be prepared in order for the restaurant to serve it. The morning crew arrives at 6am to do many things and one of those duties is to prepare the meat for the day. They have to shape, and season the meat before it can be pressed and cooked. The truck comes everyday with the calculated amount of sales. However, Jack in the Box receives frozen product. Calculated sales weekly and the trucks come only two days a week. The lettuce arrives at the store pre-cut and ready for use in the restaurant. Everything that comes off the truck just needs to be heated-up in order to serve. Another difference is the quality of the stores employees. In-N-Out Burger’s employees always have a positive attitude. They will always go out of their way to make sure all customers are 100% satisfied. The employees make sure that every visit is one to remember and that the customer will always come back for that amazing customer service. Conversely, Jack in the Box’s employees is quite different. Their employees are careless, and have negative attitudes. They do not care if customers are un-satisfied. Their service ...
After a long day in school and studying, every student needs a night off to just relax and enjoy a meal at a restaurant. In this modern time, some aspects of a restaurant can be the deciding choice. Many choose their restaurant of choice based on either those they are with, their personal, cultural appetite, their routine eating habits or their mood. Some of these preferences are similar yet others are the deciding differences. Two common franchise restaurants that pose differences are Applebee’s and Olive Garden. These two restaurants present their differences in environmental and food options causing a choice between them.
The painting entitled `Zapata con el caballo de Cortés` was painted in 1931, eleven years after the end of The Mexican Revolution, by the Mexican muralist – Diego Rivera. It represents the social economic and political revolution in Mexico led by peasants under the conduct of Emiliano Zapata against the authoritarian regime of the former president - Portfolio Diaz. In this analysis I will focus on the characters, the setting, the colours and the way they communicate in the painting.
The Mongolian Grill is a restaurant with a unique concept. It prides itself on not only delivering good food, but also an original dining experience that leaves customers wanting to come back. The restaurant uses four features to help accomplish this: An entertaining and interactive atmosphere, fresh and healthy food, unlimited quantities, and customer involvement in the meal preparation. The restaurant owner, John Butkus, is looking to finalize the operation decisions for one of his future restaurants, which will be located in Waterloo, Ontario.
Any Chipotle I have always gone to have always had good service. Their employees are great. There is never a sour moment when you ask for anything, they are always kind and welcoming. I am always greeted with a hello and a smile when I step up to order. Even if the employee serving you has had a bad day it never shows, you would never know. Despite the lines being basically out the door every time you come (which is the only downside to coming here), the wait time can give you a headache. It is worth it, because Chipotle for sure serves fast food; they usually have three employees working to serve the food. One to get what you order prepared, one to add what extras you and to finish packing it and one to cash you out. The menu is very easy to read and figure out what you want. They have all of the print on the menu in white and big font so it makes it simple for everyone to read. So there isn’t any trouble ordering what you want. They have many different options to choose from as well. You don’t always have to get the burrito.
At Carrabba’s children can expect to be entertained by receiving the “Bambini menu” (kid’s menu) and pizza dough to play with. Customers also have an option to sit front seat at the kitchen counter, where they can interact and watch the chef create the delicious meals. Patrons can also chose to sit at the bar with availability to television screens or have a more private setting. The kitchen also omits wonderful smells, making one think that they’re back at their mother’s house for dinner. The ambience of Carrabba’s can create a home away from home feeling, that will surly make one feel homesick when they haven’t visited
The rhetor of the article, For many restaurant workers, fair conditions not on menu, uses several rhetorical elements to construct her argument and build upon her ethos. She uses logos to expand her credibility and ethos, as well as to make her pathos statements more rational. She appeals to the reader’s sense of American patriotism and freedom to try to sway the opinions of the reader. The article’s main argument is that workers in the restaurant industry are being unfairly treated with their minimum wage.
When it comes to picking out a restaurant with family or friends things tend to get complicated. One person might want to go to a steakhouse, while the other wants Italian. Choosing a restaurant should focus on the quality of the food, the pricing of the food, and the competitiveness of that restaurant to its competitors. Olive Garden is one of the most revered Italian-American restaurants in the United States compared to its leading competitor, Maggiano’s. Olive Garden leads in lower prices, food options, complementary food, and even has lighter options for the health conscious.
Receiving steady business and making sure customer’s wants and needs are met in the restaurant world is the only way to ensure a successful business. The environments you experience can affect everything. Panera Bread’s comfortable relaxed environment encourages a happy mood which will lead to people continuing to dine with them. Panera Bread is an excellent restaurant and my overall experience was amazing. I will recommend the restaurant to other with no discretion.
When Chipotle first opened in 1993, the goal was to serve quality food fast, but not be considered “fast food.” To avoid falling under the fast food stigma, Chipotle strives to find the best ingredients with respect to animals, farmers, and the environment. In order to achieve these goals, Chipotle has created a matrix organizational structure that is divisional by location and functional by authority. Chipotle recently expanded internationally to the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, each following strict guidelines assigned by corporate employees from their headquarters in Denver, Colorado. Similarly, each location is functionally organized according to authority: regional manager, district manager, store manager, assistant manager, and
...za Kitchen is slightly more expensive and caters to affluent areas and offers niche, delicacy-type pizzas. Pizza Hut, on the other hand, has numerous locations in markets and does not cater to a specific type customer. Pizza Hut does not offer the variety of pizzas that does a California Pizza Kitchen.
Some argue that it is not “real” Mexican food. Regardless of those arguments, the food is certainly uniquely Mexican since many of these restaurants are owned and run by people of Mexican ancestry. Americans love Mexican food and culture and Mexicans excel at providing their food and talents to oblige us. Mexican workers can be found in many important industries in the USA. They are important to construction, agriculture, the hospitality industry, and many others. Mexican actors have been very successful in the movie and music industry. They add their own special personalities and flair to everything they do. I will now cover a few negative things that Mexico is experiencing.
If there is one place in Naples that I never get tired of going to, and where I can have fun just by basking in the ambiance of its atmosphere, it’s the authentic Mexican restaurant, Cilantro Tamales. At first glance the restaurant seems to be in an inconspicuous spot, lying in a strip mall containing a no-name music store and consignment shop. However, despite the location, Cilantro Tamales stands out from all other restaurants or gathering places.
