For this assignment, I would like to choose Starbucks, a coffee company that loved by almost all the coffee lovers over the world. This company has founded by 3 partners that are University of San Francisco students, English teacher Jerry Baldwin, history teacher Zev Siegl, and writer Gordon Bowker in Seattle, Washington, on 1971. Alfred Peet, the big entrepreneur in the business making and selling coffee, were their mentor by taught his style of roasting beans and the equipment needed to three of them. With his guidance, they started their company from a very small level with named Starbuck at Pike Place Market, Seattle.

Besides, starbucks is serving more than 70 different types of drinks to their worldwide customers and they not only known for selling brewed coffee, but also best sellers for other hot and cold beverages such as espresso beverages, chocolate beverages, Frappuccino blended coffees, Frappuccino blended crème, blended juice drinks, brewed tea, iced shaken teas. Training would then actively commence with the employee through a process of one-on-one coaching, modeling techniques, feedback, and assessing method with the motivation and desire to learn emulated by the employee. It is also important to hire the right people, who are motivated, passionate, and desire to be the best that they can be at their jobs.
Training opportunities to advance an employee’s career and develop new skills can give an employee encouragement. Training should be in areas that they want to pursue, as it will be more appealing so they will be more ambitious to learn. For this organizational analysis, I decided to analyze Starbucks. I chose Starbucks because they are the leading innovators in socially impactful business activities and personally, I love Starbucks coffee! Obviously, the point of this paper is not to talk about how good their products are, but to analyze how their organization is structured and identify potential for improvement. I have never worked at a Starbucks, but I have two friends that work at the location inside of Hy-Vee in Cedar Falls. After countless hours of research, talking to my friends about day-to-day activities, and actually going to Starbucks on numerous occasions over the past few years, I knew this was the organization that I would love to analyze.

In order for employees to continue to perform their jobs effectively and successfully they have to grow and learn along with the company and their positions. The training and learning process has to be implemented properly so that employees are receiving the up to date skills that are required for their positions. As we know, Starbucks has made a name for itself making and selling coffee and specialty coffee drinks. It has made its biggest impression by becoming the espresso expert and public educator of how to make the perfect espresso; "Roasters" of the company are trained for one year.
I will briefly summarize and examine issues facing Starbucks. Starting from there I will pick the most important issue and study it from different positions. In the end of my I will try to suggest what steps should be made to keep the company in continuing its quest to become one of the most recognized and respected brands in the world.
This is why measures should be taken to implement a training process that is functional, makes the employee feel motivated and supported.
