Community Service In High Schools

I have many different views on community service in high schools and junior highs. My two main views on it would be I think it is a great thing but then again I think it isn’t. For example, everyone lives a different life style so for the people who can do community service it would benefit them greatly but for the ones who are always busy it would be super hard for them to maintain a good grade if there class was based on community service hours. To begin with, for someone like me, it would be super hard to get community service hours because of my busy schedule with work, and rodeo. I know you are probably thinking “Oh that’s just two things, you could make it work” and you’re probably right if I had six arms and supersonic speed. But just think, just those two events put a busy schedule on me, but think about all those other kids who have to do four or five things after school. Don’t get me wrong I think every teenager in this day and age needs to do some form of community service but I also think for the ones who are already so busy after school, they shouldn’t have to stress over another school event. …show more content…

As a matter of fact, community service is a great thing. Think about it, you’re helping your community be a better place and you are also helping yourself. The people in this time and day don’t really know the definition of work or help. So I think if we can build that back up we would be able to make it a better place. People would appreciate it more and would want to continue to do it to show people what their community is capable of. So I think if you don’t already have a busy schedule going on, you should help the community and spend time with your class because you honestly can’t get any bad from doing
