Health care systems deal with many different cultures, values, and interests making it increasingly more difficult for management to provide their employees with a clear vision of the future (Lega, Longo, & Rotolo, 2013). Begun, Hamilton, and Kaissi (2005) explain health care centers utilize strategic planning to better understand their environments and ensure the organization’s structure, culture, and important decision-making are compatible within their current surroundings. Ginter, Duncan, and Swayne (2013) describe strategic planning as “the periodic process of developing a set of steps for an organization to accomplish its’ mission and vision using strategic thinking” (p.14). The goal of strategic health care planning is to improve performance throughout the organization (Begun et al, 2005). This paper discusses the strategic plan for Brooklyn Hospital Center including its long and short- term goals, its strategic thinking and key stakeholders, and the various strategies identified within the plan.
In healthcare one of the major obstacles employees attempt to overcome is the communication gap. The outpatient clinics in particular find it challenging to keep in contact with the hospital. In the healthcare market to have success you must have communication. Romano observed that hospitals are branching out; outpatient setting offer lucrative services that are rendered in a well-situated environment (2006). The outpatient sector is where the profit is made; this is clearly the way of the future. If prospective clinics are to fulfill patient and employees needs, a communication policy must be put into practice. By employing a communication strategy employees will be more productive, more informed, and administration could expect to see enhanced customer service.

The role of leadership has become increasing valuable for organizations to be successful. According to Huber (2014), Leadership can best be defined as method utilized to ensure that an objective is completed. There are many different types of leaderships that can be found within each organization. In this paper I will highlight an example of a specific leadership style that we come across in healthcare settings. I will review my leadership self-assessment results and discuss the impact of leadership on staff and groups.
The intent of this paper is to analyze interviews with a staff nurse and a nurse manager. The interview questions revolve around what the nurses perceive as the main communication issues at work. More specifically, the communication issues with patient communication, communication with colleagues and communication with leadership/administration. This paper will also list three actions that would improve communication in response to the issues raised during the interviews.

Its values and missions are attached to its call letter for meetings as constant reminders for their staff. Indirectly, this approach helps in translating our vision on how people should behave at SSM Health Care.
I have explained three of the seven principles that I use while interacting with my patients daily. The three methods of communication were defined and explained how each is used in the healthcare setting. The communication method that works best on my unit was explained per my unit’s preference. The four-ethical principle regarding communication were explained along with how these principles and team communication affect patient safety. The following interview report is intended primarily for exploration and comparison of the traits and characteristics of leadership. A leader of a clinical medicine centre was interviewed for this report. The purpose of this report is to explore the leadership characters and traits, and how they can be developed in this turbulent environment. First, I make a brief introduction regarding the background of the respondent and her working environment. The report also describes this leader's personal and subjective perceptions in relation to a literature review which investigates the traits and characteristics of leadership. The report concludes with a comparison and discussion of the results of the clinical condition on the basis of the interview and literature review. At the same time, the report aims to put forward feasible and effective advice and specific programs for present and future leaders and managers in the health care system.
