Sometimes we need technology in our life it’s a way of staying connected especially when you live 3,000 miles away from your friends and family or even your loved one. There are many ways you can communicate from long distance for example video apps such as face time and Skype. Many other options such as instant message, Google hang outs, Facebook messenger; twitter, Instagram and snap chat are useful apps. It’s something useful because sometimes we don’t have the time to go visit our family when they live on the other side of the country. “The down side is that it can be hard to juggle all the various ways to communicate.”
Technology has benefited the human race through communication in many ways. There is also many who believe that it is ultimately crippling the way we communicate person to person face to face. One form of technology in which is
The world is getting smaller, yet remains full of possibilities due in part to technology. Interestingly, the very first emails could only be sent to someone using two computers, literally side by side. Technology dates back to the first manipulations of materials to assist in human survival. There are many definitions for technology, John D. Carl describes technology stating,” it deals with the creation, use, and application of knowledge and its’ interrelation with life, society, and the environment” (Carl, J.D., 2011, p.301). For the purpose of this paper, any instrument, invention, or method influencing and allowing people to control or adapt to their environment, is technology. With the increased availability of technological tools (smart phones, text messaging, image scanning, email, and social media), communication is rapidly changing. Society has moved beyond the Industrial Age and into the Information Age, where the sharing of knowledge and ideas is the new driver of power and world economy. Technology possesses many merits, and as with any tool, it carries drawbacks. Misuse and overuse creates unsavory dependence. This dependence can have adverse affects on people, business, and education. Technology receives vast criticism for reducing face-to-face interactions. Although the information technology of today is widely held as impersonal, it promotes communication; technology reduces costs and leverages productivity by facilitating access to information and knowledge, and augmenting interaction amongst those who utilize technology.
Cell phones are among the most innovative gadgets of the 20th century. Traditionally, people relied on cumbersome methods to transmit information and data over long distance, which usually made the communication process ineffective and slow. The ability to communicate deferred from one society to another and some societies had advantage over others due to their superior methods of communication. It was problematic to send urgent messages due to the lack of reliable and fast techniques of communication. The cell phone invention solved most of these issues. It introduced a platform through which parties could communicate instantaneously regardless of their location or distance. In addition, the cell phone technology is globally accepted hence it is a uniform medium of communication, making it both fast and efficient in any given community. Moreover, cell phones opened up room for more technological in...
The world has gone through a lot of changes as time passes by. With advancements in the technological field, people can communicate with people from around the world without having to even lift a finger. To make things more efficient and more cost-saving, industries have made technology wireless. Wireless technology gives people the chance to get up from their stationary computer, or corded phone and be able to freely move without restrictions. IT, or Information Technology, has become a standard and very critical part of today’s society.
The standard 21 year old adults have exchanged 250 thousand emails, spent 5 thousand hours video gaming and 10 thousand hours using their mobile devices (Lei, 2009). When people hear the word technology, they think of microwaves, televisions, cars, NASA, different types and transportation and more. For all that, technology has occurred long ahead these discoveries. Technology is an arguable matter amongst people. .In the old days, people lived an extremely simple life without technology. They used candles to light their houses and lanterns at the dark to travel, they used fire to cook and used newspapers and mail to share news. On the other hand, technology has seized an important place in our society. People are living in a stage of progressive technology. They are using all natural reserves applicable for making their lives better and easier. The society cannot picture life without electricity since it allows them to live through their everyday life. This paper argues that technology positively impacts people’s lives.

The influence of the computer technology is mainly manifested on the internet in daily lives. In the 20th century, mass media went through network improvements around the world. Information technology, digital and networked information communication has brought human free, convenience and interaction. The wide application of information technology improves the working efficiency. However, due to all these facilities people no longer need to meet in person as much, and interpersonal relationships are suffering worldwide because people are communicating through a small handheld device. Lots of people have Smartphones and they use them almost semi-continuously, including in public settings when they could be making new friends, finding new lovers, and talking/interacting with their current friends. When technology solves one of our problems, we keep immediately coming up with new, larger problems, no technology will ever be able to satisfy our constantly new needs. However, if we allow technology to make our life easier, and focus more on the quality, rather than the quantity of life, and also learn how to use technology to our greatest advantage, such as how to use it to influence others, we can all greatly benefit. For example, the invention of the car allowed us to save time, when compared to walking.

This had a direct impact on the society as now information could be disseminated amongst a larger group and in the contemporary wo...
