College Admissions Essay: The Road To Failure

The road to success is not ever a consecutive straight paved. In order to succeed, you must face bumps and curves. Your willingness to accept failure because you know positive possibility could come out, and the way you react to failure determines your next step to success. With my personal experience of failure, I could recall the several times failing my math class test. Since I can remember math has never naturally come to me. Said by Galileo math is the language of the universe; for me, math is a language I just can’t grasp. As with math and I, I’ve consistently tried. I always get up and aspire once more for the best result, however, when it came to math, it was my downfall.

Starting in middle school, 7th-grade year I was in the math

class that reviewed what we learned in 6th and 5th grade. Considering that particular class, it wasn’t much of a challenge to me and it showed in the test, but the school still decide to not transfer me in the correct class. The problem arose when I transferred to a different school district my 8th grade. The new school put me into a high school Algebra 1 math class.
Correspondingly, to the fact, I wasn’t familiar with content the math class when the test came back it was evident. It just baffled me that I would fail the test, before many of the tests, I was sure I would pass it. I would think I was doing fine, but in all reality, I wasn’t. Even after the failing grade after the next, I persevered and stayed in the class. Throughout the school year, I was slowly but surely getting to the proper learning ability. At the end of the year for the exam I concluded with a B. Granted that meant in my freshman year of high school I could go straight to geometry and wouldn’t have to take Algebra 1. This was a positive change for me, and indicating that the only way to reach success is to start with challenges and failures.
