I found my passion early in life. I started fishing at the early age of 5. I fished my 1st bass tournament in 1991, I've been hooked ever since. I graduated in 1995 from Nacogdoches High School. I received an old used boat as a gift. I attended Brookhaven Community College in Irving Texas and landed an auto glass job. Every weekend rain or shine I would spend every hour of daylight on the water trying to increase my skill set to compete on a tournament level. I thought I was ready but learned quickly I was not. In 1998, I decided to join a bass club by the name of The Frisco Bass Club. It didn't take long by the 2nd of the 12 tournaments we had a year I started winning. Mostly in the northern Texas and southern Oklahoma area of the country. …show more content…

Old business as it was ran by my mother and she was no longer able to do so. I decided to make the move. It was tough very very tough as the business was not bringing in even a profit. It took me 2 years to build what my father started back up to par. I also was building a new home simultaneously. It now is thriving and my family including my mother are doing well. I now am ready to move forward with my passion that has never faltered. I have waited my entire life to pursue this profession and know I will

I have always had a passion for nursing. As a child, I watched my mother getting up early, putting her scrubs on and headed out the door for a 12 hour shift. She was always content, and at ease to go for a long shift and even overtime at times. I love the fact that after work, she would always come home, satisfied with the day no matter how hard it was for her. She would sit and tell my brothers and sisters how she enjoyed the conversations that she had with her patients and what impact she had on their lives that day. Listening to these stories as a child, I knew that I wanted to become a nurse and listening to the same stories and helping people, making their day feel better. I wanted to follow my mom’s footsteps. At the end of a long shift, it is a rewarding profession, knowing that I am saving people’s lives, making them comfortable when they are near of dying, advocate and teaching them. As nurses, we care for patients through illness, injury, aging, health. We also promote health, prevent diseases and teaching the community; that’s what I love about nursing. I believe that this is the right profession for me because I have all the qualities that a nurse should possess when
I’ve always wondered how a single image could show a beautiful lie or a horrific truth of any picture taken. No picture can be considered obvious. My mind is always thinking about the many different perspectives that one picture can bring. That’s why I enjoy taking photos that captures the many mysteries of life. I would love to live life as a photographer.
The Ultimate Career Goal: I am extremely passionate about marine and wildlife ecosystems and all their inhabitants and have a desire to work in a career that allows me to work closely within these ecosystems as well as allowing myself to educate those that surround me about the importance of science. My ultimate career goal is to work as a laboratory and field technician for a reputable company or organisation.
They taught me that through hard work and perseverance, anything is possible. On September of 2016, I decided to return to Miami to be closer to my mother and my immediate family. My return home has been an adjustment accompanied by some challenges. Nonetheless, it has also granted me the opportunity to return to school and continue my education. As a young boy, I learned to survive. As I commence the next chapter of my life, I am reassured that my past experiences will navigate me toward
Sadly, the career of my dreams is not a very easy process. On top of talent, mind and body straining work, and drive to play hours a day, everyday; It also requires a whole lot of luck. Putting yourself in
I wanted to make myself marketable and have a “Plan B” just in case I couldn’t secure a job in athletic training right away. Throughout my career, I have taught middle school remedial math in the computer lab, sixth grade math, and elementary physical education. Here it is almost eighteen years later and my “Plan B” has turned out to be my “plan everything”. I was the assistant athletic trainer for seven years and had to resign to take care of my mom who was diagnosed with cancer. After her death, it was difficult to acquire another athletic training position here in my city, however that changed this year after a ten-year
At the age of nine, I grasped my very first bat and it felt so, incredibly natural. After taking countless guitar lessons every Tuesday night for several weeks, I had discovered my true calling. At least, that’s what I thought. I started at the recreational level, learning step by steps the basics of the game. It was a work in progress, but I was determined to go competitive with it.
It was then, that following summer, my parents enrolled me in a local yacht club’s junior sailing program. It did not take but one day for a sailing program to turn into a life style. I have a newfound love for sailing; it was new and exciting and I wanted to learn as
When I didn’t play volleyball the next year, I tried other clubs like FCCLA and band, and I ended up finding a passion with music that I’ll have for the rest of my
My writing topic is about: Have any people or books influenced my writing? Did anyone read to me when I was a child? Did I have any teachers who provided encouragement? In my life I have had people tell me I've done great on a paper and gotten a good grade, and some other times I have not. I Ever since I was little, writing has not been my passion, I believe that to be a writer you have to be organized and that isn't me. Yes, I have a lot of thoughts but its impossible to get my thoughts on paper.
I’ve always had a passion for helping others and I love the idea of being considered a dependable person. I enjoy when others come to me to talk about the hardship they are experiencing and being able to provide them with feedback or helpful advice. To do this I learned that you need to have the characteristics of a “people person”. You must be patient, which from my job experience of working in retail and the fast food industry, I would consider myself to be a highly patient person. I also posses the the skill of being outgoing and friendly. I allow myself to be comfortable when speaking with different types of people and I let myself open up so I can personally relate to them. By doing this I believe that others will return the comfort that I created and will want
Every day, many people question my passion for pursuing accounting as a profession and the first answer I think of is that I am good with numbers. However, advancing in the field has made me realize that my passion is not only based on figures. Growing up as a kid, I was privileged to have a piggy account where I would save as little as fifty cents per week. Since my parents rewarded me in monetary value as a positive reinforcement in cases of good behaviour, I was motivated to maintain good manners so long as my savings increased. As time went by, I realized I had saved way “too much” money for a little child. The challenge came in the management of the funds because I was focused on spending more on pleasurable activities. However, the guidance of my parents enabled me to prioritize on the more important things and save more. I took interest in managing may own account as a child and even pursued accounting courses in high school. The interest grew deeper because I gained more insight on the facts about accounting and the career. Also, I believed that it is career that one would be self-employed thereby avoiding the dilemmas of lacking jobs after graduating. For instance, one would easily start their own business and manage their finances comfortably.
“Life is a song - sing it. Life is a game - play it. Life is a challenge - meet it. Life is a dream - realize it. Life is a sacrifice - offer it. Life is love - enjoy it.” These words from Sai Baba, a Hindu philosopher, speaks the importance of living life to the fullest, an opportunity that was at risk in my scary start to life.
Family and community have both been instrumental in my drive to pursue more out of
