I’ve always wondered how a single image could show a beautiful lie or a horrific truth of any picture taken. No picture can be considered obvious. My mind is always thinking about the many different perspectives that one picture can bring. That’s why I enjoy taking photos that captures the many mysteries of life. I would love to live life as a photographer. Like other professions, most photographers have to go to college. I would be going to college for four years to my bachelor degree, which will have me as a professional photographer. After collage I’ll will be working for myself and slowly opening up a business for photography. Along with my passion for photography, comes a love for cooking. I really enjoy attending the culinary arts
program at OTEC. OTEC teaches me good communication skills how to be comfortable speaking people with ease. I’ve learned how to be more open minded when I’m at OTEC. When I’m in OTEC, we have five stations in class and we rotate every week. every time we rotate, I show great leadership by showing my peers were to go when they ask. When the chefs ask me to take on a task, I’d be willing take on that responsibility. When I’m working in a group, I make sure to listen and try to understand what my peers have to say. I truly believe that you can learn from others and feed off of their knowledge. Even though an image can show a little mystery behind it so is my career. I can’t see my future and I know where I’m heading. Thanks to OTEC I can see it a little more clearly learning and experiencing new things.
There is an old saying “A picture is worth a thousand words” which is very true. In the article, "Against Neutrality", by Teju Cole mainly focuses on how a photograph can change a person perspective in an entire different way. Coles states, “The camera is an instrument of transformation”. A photographer has the power to create multiple different perspectives, which can be good and bad. It depends on the person who takes the picture and with the intent of the photo. A photographer is like a writer because they want to send some time of message to their audience.
I have the desire to photograph. I go out with my camera. I come across something that excited me emotionally, spiritually, aesthetically. I see the photograph in my mind’s eye and I compose and expose the negative. I give you the print as the equivalent of what I saw and felt.
My passion with computers stated to grow when I learned accounting. I found that computers are powerful tools which can help businesses with analyzing the mass of data and making decisions. I believe that a person with both business knowledge and computer skill will be in large demand in China, especially after it has entered the WTO. Hence, I would like to choose a degree combined with business and computing study for my further education in the UK.
I believe that pictures are able to capture a single moment, highlighting the important meaning behind every action presented. According to Mitchell Stephens’ “By Means of the Visible: A Picture’s Worth,” images possess “great power - religious, tribal, romantic, pedagogic” (479). Similarly, in Kenneth Brower’s “Photography in the Age of Falsification,” a picture of earthrise is described as having “poetic power, evoking sentiment” (564). When looking at pictures, whether in my photo album or a Life magazine, I discover that emotions are stirred by those pictures that hold the greatest number of feelings, from anguish to happiness, thus making them the most memorable. Through my analysis of my most compelling photographs and the essays of Stephens and Brower, I have concluded that each picture evokes a feeling inside of me, whether it is a photograph of a kiss, a family in the mist of the Depression, or my grandfather.
This article starts off with a video of different pictures put together just to have a physical affect on you after you look at it. Photography is the art of capturing the world's greatest and sometimes saddest moments that happen. It's not just pointing a camera and taking a few shots of something, it goes much deeper than what meets the eye. This article states that photography isn’t what it use to be, they never took as long as they do now to take pictures of things. They used to take one picture and put it and that was done and over with. This soon changed in the later years, everything just doesn't get taken care of as soon as it happens. Photography has grew over the years and people who were asked why they do what they do simply say
Photography is used by amateurs to preserve memories of favorite times, to capture special moments, to tell stories, to send messages, and as a source of entertainment. Many mobile phones now contain cameras to facilitate such use. Photography is all about light, and as photographers, we're constantly thinking about the light as we photograph a scene. Light dominates our thoughts during the photographic process, and light continues to be a defining element when converting your RAW captures to "real" digitalimages. Photography is an art and those of us who choose to practice the great art of street photographyought not be targeted by bullies like Blint. Many of the great artists, artists being shown in the SF MOMA itself were practitioners of street photography.

Since elementary school, mathematics has always been the easiest subject for me to practice and develop upon. I realize this might sound cliche, however, for me, math class is a comfortable yet competitive environment, focusing on a subject that is wieldy yet requiring effort, in a place where my classmates can all relate yet challenge each other. Creativity, on the other hand, is a shortcoming in the reel of acts in the movie of my life. Consequently, usual talents such as art, language composition and literature, and music I am only sufficient at and it is difficult for me to build these skills. Therefore, every moment where I have felt substandard about something, I have poured myself into my mathematical talent and I have accordingly become
The old expression that states “a picture is worth a thousand words” is true is most cases. Sometimes, verbal communication alone cannot describe what a person thinks and what one’s imagination is like. Before photography was invented, people painted what they saw and how it looked, they then began using painting to show a different reality, one inspired by imagination.
When I first started high school, it was difficult for me to learn things. Things that seemed natural to my peers wasn’t easy for me to come by. One of my passions in high school was basketball; where I could be myself, I didn’t feel like I was underachieving, I felt as if I belonged. My coach, Reggie Walker, helped me become something more. He helped me understand that no problem was too small or unachievable if I just tried.
At the heart of what I do as a family photographer, is capturing the essence of a family's moments together, so they'll remember it forever. Every session is special to me, but this latest family session was truly close to my heart.
Grabbing a pencil and a sketchbook, I began to wonder who I really am and what I as a unique person could bring to the table. This is one of the most fundamental and yet one of the tricky questions to answer. To decipher the intricate details about myself, I let the pencil render my thoughts, feelings, joyful, and stressful experiences into a silhouette of figures and illustrations, flashing my life before me. Upon reflection, I realize that although my unique culture and immigration experience have certainly shaped the person who I am and can certainly aid in the diversity of Mayo Clinic School of medicine; however, my passion for drawing would contribute the most.
When you see a well taken photograph you immediately feel something. There is no need of words, no needs of a second look: they only came in a second moment. At first, it's just you, the picture in front of you, and the feelings it creates. We can all think of a picture, famous or not, that makes us feel something: a Russian soldier kissing a cross, a little girl drawing a bed under his brother asleep on the floor, or simply a relative smiling, there, forever on paper. This is the real power of photography: it moves you, somehow, and it also collects instants, crystallizing them as images of a moments existing for the eternity.
That is if you are producing and getting regular jobs, many photographers have to pursue a different job to support their business it is very hard to just do photography. Usually to get an internship with a photography business you have to have at least a high school diploma. In 2014 it is said that there was 124,900 photography jobs, with that being said there has been more jobs opening up in recent years because of people becoming more interested in photography and opening up businesses which produce more jobs for photographers to take. Some things that photographers have to do are, market and advertise to attract clients, plan composition for images, use different techniques and lighting equipment, capture commercial quality images, edit, and maintain portfolios for clients. A good way to maintain and build clientele it so use social media such as, instagram, facebook and other various apps or websites. Every photographer should have a website to promote and share their images with people. As Hannaniah says, “It takes a lot of social networking, hardwork, and dedication to build up your business.” Three out of every five photographers are self employed, with this said there was research done for the best area to move to for the best income made. Florida is one of the highest paying states in the U.S. for photographers more than three thousand
My ideal choice would be working with graphics in the multimedia field and I hope to aim for this.
