No one ever dreamed that the painfully shy girl would ever be on stage. No one ever believed she would be singing, dancing, acting, or kissing a boy on stage, in front of tons people. Who ever imagined that she could exceed her shyness by facing her fear in the face? Whether you think so or not, that little girl is standing right in front of you, asking if she could be in a play that could possibly change her life. Obviously the first answer will automatically be a straight forward no, but I hope to change your mind by expanding on four reasons: My future, experience,capability,and my mental state.

Being that college is four years away, it does not hurt to talk about the future right now. I wish to go into drama/theatre, but I know the pay and need is awfully low. Being a professional actor would be a lifelong dream come true,but I do admit the percentage of me making it into that business would be very small; that’s why there’s more than just being an actor. I could also be a drama teacher, like Mr.Higg and Travis House. It would be a blessing to teach kids drama and theatre, helping them break out of the shell, and helping others like me conquer their social anxiety. Plus, imagine being the teacher of a famous actor! Theatre does not only include plays, but musicals too, therefore I will not be giving up music. A lot of my friends tell me how amazing of an experience it was for them when they first joined. Not only will it strengthen my friendship with my fellow classmates, it will also give me more experience in my acting career. Every Time I am in a play, I gain crucial experience and knowledge about acting that I wouldn’t have learned if I was not in that play.
