Approaches to slow the rate of climate change in Canada Climate change is a long term shift in weather conditions identified by gradual changes in temperature, precipitation, winds and other natural indicators. According to the lecture, Earth is 5 million kms closer to the sun at its orbital point that is making the earth’s crust warmer day by day. Canada has taken various steps to slow the rate of climate change both locally and internationally. Over the years the average temperature of Canada has increased by 1.6 degrees Celsius. The gradual change in climate is the most important factor in changing the environment and the availability of resources. Canadian government

Youth engagement:
An important strategy of Canada’s government is engaging youth in the national dialogue about climate change and its resources and how to solve it. They sent indigenous and non-indigenous people on the 2017 ice arctic expedition. They facilitated discussions on history and science of changing climate in the artic. They found out that Canada’s artic is presently vulnerable to the impacts of climate change because it’s warming up at the rate of three times to the global average.
• Climate action 150 town hall
As a part of the youth engagement plan they chose over 500 students from 25 Canadian high schools to investigate and research on the impacts of climate change in different communities. Their presentations focused mainly on three topics, greening our energy supply, accelerating sustainable transportation and reducing waste.
They are trying to teach the youth about low carbon Canada and a way to protect the environment for a prosperous Canada for the next 150 years.
4. COP 22 Marrakech: This was the 22nd Conference of parties involved in the Paris Agreement . The purpose of this meeting was to discuss and implement plans to show the world how the Paris agreement is in effect and they are putting in all the resources for its effective and efficient

But this meeting mainly focused to make differences towards water management and decarbonizing energy supplies. They also decided the ways in which Paris agreement will be applied and final decisions will be negotiated amongst the parties. Issues related to water transportations, sustainable distributions, innovations for conservation were brought up to be dealt with for a better future. They also talked about utilizing renewable resources and how this policy can be used to promote markets which can help us to improve infrastructure which will help them to accommodate these changes. One of the key topics of discussion was reducing the carbon footprint by limiting the use of personal transportation and innovate ways to increase carpools and the use of public transportation. They also discussed how new technology should be use which is environment friendly that would bring new jobs which will fit into the existing market for an efficient
Climate and weather are similar, describing how the atmosphere behaves, the difference being the timescale (Conway, 2010). Weather is a short-term scale of temperature and precipitation, usually considering weeks or less (ibid). Climate, however, is a long term description of months or longer, describing different seasons and trends of temperature and precipitation. Climate of Vancouver is typically mild during the spring and summer and damp during the autumn and winter, and unlike other mountainous areas of British Columbia, it is not excessively cold or snowy (“Hello BC”, n.d.).
At my school, I am an active member of a program called S.E.E.D., which stands for Students Ending Environmental Destruction. As a group, spread awareness about recycling, water conservation and remediation, climate change, and other environmental problems the world faces today. We make sure that every classroom has a recycling bin and informative posters above them. We have hosted movie nights where we provide healthy, GMO-free refreshments and show an educational film that relates to a current issues to spread awareness. We have also convinced our school to install stations that are specifically meant to refill water bottles as it encourages students to stop buying plastic bottles and wasting plastic. Taking care of the environment and educating our youth, the congressmen, women, and voters of tomorrow who will be the deciding factors of the earth’s health, and consequently the people’s health, is crucial to me.
One of the most controversial topics of today that affects the entire globe is climate change. Climate change is the change in global or regional climate patterns, which is greatly attributed to the increasing levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced by the use of fossil fuels. The video, “Climate Change 101” with Bill Nye, by National Geographic and the article, “Climate Threat to Wildlife May Have Been Massively Underreported”, written by Kacey Dreamer, do a fantastic job at bringing forth this controversial affair and how it is a huge issue, by which greatly effects the environment and the wild life on this planet. Both the article and video, on climate change, are very effective at expressing their argument by effectively using the
On average, the temperature on the Earth’s surface has increased at 0.6°C over the last two centuries (greenfacts). Statistics show that in 2100 the Arctic temperatures as high as 7°C above pre-industrial levels (greenfacts). Global sea level rose about 17 centimeters (6.7 inches) in the last century (NASA). Climate change is probably the most urgent problem facing our society today. Canada, as an active member of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), has played an effective role in dealing with global warming to reduce the rate of climate change. Canada’s withdrawal from the Kyoto Protocol and joining UNFCCC, the Paris climate agreement, and helping Canadians adapt to climate change.
In Canada there are numerous environmental problems the country faces, from climate change to urban sustainability. These environmental problems result in political action being taken in order to
Climate change has the potential to devastate millions in Australia. Rising temperatures will impact the landscape of Australia by decreasing Australia's forests. Australia is going to have to spend billions of dollars to make sure their safety from climate change. The people in Australia will need to be strong and flexible to make it through this tough time they're going through, and Australia will have to find a way to fix this problem before it's too late. Climate change is something that will affect the entire world and it's not an issue to take lightly. Australia’s solutions are not simple at all and in order for them to work everyone will have to work together. Climate change in Australia will impact the environment, the economy, and the lives of Australians, an example of a solution is to cut down on carbon emissions.
The change in climate has already been apart of consideration for major developmental projects (Fergal & Prowse). Not only are companies preparing for climate change but also the communities are concerned with how the impact will change their access to survival resources such as fish, water, wildlife and forestry (Fergal & Prowse, 2007). It is projected that in 25-30 years, sea ice in the Canadian arctic will be completely melted and which could strongly affect the northern communities (Fergal & Prowse, 2007). This essay will discuss the positive and negative impacts of climate change on transportation for Northern Canadian communities and their accessibility to resources as the sea ice melts.
One of the most urgent environmental and social issue is climate change, its being talked about all over the world since its affecting billions of lives. The earth goes through a period of cool and warm period, which are called climate change. Climate change is when the earth gets warmer or cooler due to the amount of sunlight it receives from the sun. Climate changes isn't just affecting humans, its affecting the whole ecosystem. Coral reefs are turning white and polar ice caps are turning black. Animals are becoming extinct because their environment is being threatened. People all over the country and world are becoming aware that the climate is changing, especially after this year. It snowed in cities that usually do not get snow, it snowed in spring, and also flooding in some cities. The country is starting to realize the role human activities play on climate changes, and because humans are responsible for the rapid climate changes they must take actions to protect the environment. There has been periods of Global Warming in history that were mainly naturally caused but the most recent one which is happening now is influenced mostly by humans. Scientists have been debating on whether or not Global Warming is caused by humans. Both sides, however agree that as sunlight enters the earth's surface only a little bit is reflected back into space, most of it is absorbed into the earth which keep the earth warm, and the rest is absorbed into the atmosphere. As college students, we must work together to come up with a plan to help reduce greenhouse emission. Since in the book of Genesis 1 and 2 it says that God placed Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden as caretakers. Their job was to care for the everything in the garden, they weren't...
Climate change has been a controversial topic in the last century. When the debate has been raised about the climate change it was not certain that it is going to be serious threat to our world. In this essay the concept of climate change will be defined and how did it change during the last century. In addition, the causes and impacts of climate change will be pointed out briefly to understand the issue. This essay will be focused more in introducing some measures, which have been taken place so far on global level for example the Kyoto Protocol and on local levels as the case in United Kingdom and China, and how accurate are these solutions. Also alternative measures and actions that can help stop the climate change are going to be discussed.
Although it is often a topic for contention in politics, global warming over the span of several decades, has led to climate change, which has had an alarming impact globally. Climate change needs to ...

To sum up, the EU drawn attention on climate changes and has essential goals to help other regions and countries to change the world. According to the Kyoto Protocol, the EU and other countries have big dreams about changing climate in positive way. That how the EU manages to accomplish the defined aims on the Kyoto Protocol depends on the EU leaders and Europeans also on the major emitting countries and other powerful world’s countries which have essential impact on climate changes.
The objective of this research was to compare and contrast the level of concern about climate change and the opinions towards climate change among overseas students studying in Australia with those of local people in Australia, United Kingdom, United States and Europe overseas students studying at Eynesbury College in Adelaide. The findings of this research rejected the hypothesis that both international students studying in Australia and local people in Australia, United Kingdom, United States and Europe have similar opinions about climate change, but overseas students have a higher level of concern about climate change than the local people in Australia, United Kingdom, The United States and Europe. This is because international students
climate change is a natural process, but because of increases in certain human activities this process is taking a faster and more dangerous route, ruining our earth and creating global problems. So what could really be done about this issue? Well, humans are ultimately to blame for this, and while there is no one, immediate solution to this complication, there are smaller solutions that can first be taken to eventually reduce the effects that climate change has on the planet. One of these solutions that we can put into effect almost immediately, involves supporting educational efforts that help children and teens in public/private schools become more educated about climate change.
According to the Canada’s Action on Climate Change, Climate change is a long-term shift in weather conditions identified by changes in temperature, precipitation, winds, and other indicators. Climate change can involve both changes in average conditions and changes in variability, including, for example, extreme events. Climate change is one of the biggest crisis in the earth. It will cause a huge damage to the eco-system and human. We are the victims of the climate change. However, we are the one who cause the climate change.
