Climate change is one of the most discussed topics of the twenty-first century. Although this subject is very often on the daily basis of lots of people, most of them do not know much about it. So let us define climate change. People think that climate change is the same thing as global warming. However, global warming only represents one aspect of climate that is temperature. Climate change is any significant change in temperature, precipitation, or a wind pattern that occur over several decades or longer. It is known that in the last 650,000 years there have been seven cycles of glacial advance and retreat with the last one 7,000 years ago. This was when the modern climate era started which lead to the beginning of human civilization all …show more content…
There are still some believers that support that climate change is not real and that they are just made up facts so people can grab the opportunity to make money with new products that will help the world to become “cleaner.” Their arguments are that the earth always had these types of climate changes just like a natural cycle. When asked about if there is any link on how in the past decades, when humans started using fossil fuels and the changes became worst and worst, they come with a response that it is just a …show more content…
The next step of humanity is to try diminished those effects caused by humans. Climate change should be a worry to every civilian of earth cause even though you are not directly being affected positively in the future your grandsons or even or kids will suffer. There are lots of organizations worldwide that are trying to find new ways of lowering the effects. The good news that everyone is worried and trying to help, in 2015 it was signed the Paris Agreement 195 countries agreed to reduce the percentage of greenhouse gasses. So let us stop discussing who is guilty in the story and let us continue to bring in
The dictionary defines climate change as a change in global or local climate patterns such as heat and precipitation. The trees that provide oxygen, the water that keeps us hydrated and the animals along with plants that gives us food grant Earth with features that make it adequate to live in. Global warming, as stated in the name, occurs when Earth 's atmosphere starts getting warmer. Global Warming has become a problem throughout the world that will need to be addressed over the coming years because it affects animals, sea level and landscapes around the world.
They believe that humans have caused most of the past century’s warming by releasing greenhouse gases; their levels are higher now than in the last six hundred fifty thousand years. Greenhouse gases happen when sunlight shines onto the Earth's surface, where it is absorbed and then radiated back into the atmosphere as heat. In the atmosphere, “greenhouse” gases trap some of this heat, and the rest escapes into space. Carbon dioxide is the primary greenhouse gas that is contributing to recent climate change. CO2 is absorbed and emitted naturally as part of the carbon cycle, through plant and animal respiration, volcanic eruptions, and ocean-atmosphere exchange. Human activities, such as the burning of fossil fuels and changes in land use, release large amounts of CO2, causing concentrations in the atmosphere to rise. The rapid rise in greenhouse gases is presenting two major problems: extreme weather and melting of ice sheets. In addition, our sea levels could potentially rise too high, possibly flooding
How would you like to live in a home that is beginning to fall apart, but only to go on about your day and continue to neglect it until it all comes crashing down? Humans and animals share this beautiful planet that we call home. But this beautiful home of ours is being regularly and increasingly torn apart by our own ignorant actions. These actions of ours have begun to unravel the very world in which we live, causing a self-inflicted crisis known as Global Climate Change. Global Climate Change is a severe dilemma, and it is continuously becoming more evident to the world’s population that climate change is being caused by changes in the reflectivity of earth’s atmosphere and surface, the ever changing variations of energy from the sun reaching the earth, and the daunting increase in greenhouse gasses.
Global warming was a scare tactic created by the government in order to enforce grants and programs that would give them money. There is no signs of it actually happening and if it is how can we actually believe what they are saying? There are so
There’s a lot of discussion about the issue of climate change which can make people feel like their actions to stop it are useless, but there is hope for the future. Young people today, such as college students, are very busy and have other things on their minds. However, there are simple ways to make a difference that could even save you money. Stopping climate change doesn’t need drastic changes to one’s daily routine or even help from the government because if everyone does something small then the impact will be significant.
Climate change is a hot topic with many people saying that the humans are making the world's temperature increase and other saying it’s a natural cycle. Climate change can be very dangerous because it can make environments to hostile to certain plants or animals and it also can make the sea level increase witch would put many cities in danger.. The people that believe that the humans are to blame state that the amount of CO₂ that humans emit into the atmosphere and deforestation are the main problems that we are currently doing. Whilst the people that say its a natural process say that is a natural cycle and we are just unfortunate to experience this in our lifetime. In this debate the evidence seems to side with the people saying that the humans are the cause.
Global warming isn’t just the warming of earth’s atmosphere, but also weather conditions which are out of the ordinary. Many people agree global warming is happening, but they cannot agree on what is causing it. Some people reject the subject entirely saying the definition has changed too much over the years for comfort, but many say that it is a developing subject, one in which we do not know all of the details of yet. Many people believe that global warming is happening and is caused by humans and their lifestyle.
This change can be subtle or drastic, but as truth may have it we life in a global society where the climate is changing drastically, weather patterns are becoming increasingly unstable, the ice caps in colder regions are beginning to melt, earthquakes are growing stronger in magnitude and becoming more prevalent. As of today all the signs and studies have proven true, human activities definitely have a large role to lay in the growth of global warming, by the continuous creation of factories along with the growth of greenhouses, toxic gases consisting of carbon dioxide continue to be distributed into the atmosphere, and with this continuous growth comes the destruction of plants which are responsible for purifying the air by taking in the carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, it is easy to see why; and although few have come in defence of human beings to place this claim on the stage to be closely analysed and debunks, unfortunately for them all the facts presented so far have added up in support of the claim. Mankind may be on a dangerous path to destruction, but not for long this is not how thing must remain, and as time would have it, it is not too late. We may not have the abilities to turn back the hands of time; but rather we can proceed with tim into a better tommorow, increase educational engagement in the sciences, by teaching children at a younger age about climate change during their introductions into chemistry, biology, and earth science. Inclined with the education of the student a focus on better interacting with the environment to improve habitats for animal and teach the importances in reducing the damaging toxins in the air and on the ground. following these steps may not have a great effect right away; however in the long rich , by following these steps we can give birth to a future where the children we know today will grow to become environmental specialist, engineers, social
Many people dedicate their lives to spread the message about climate change being real. Even though some change in the climate is natural, many events that have happened cannot be explained away by nature. Climate change is causing damage to the world that is completely irreversible. Nasa says, “Most scientists say it 's very likely that most of the warming since the mid-1900s is due to the burning of coal, oil and gas. Burning these fuels is how we produce most of the energy that we use every day” (nasa). The energy that we use daily makes our life easier, but it hurts the earth. Why does the government still allow us to use these things? Science has shown us that sea levels are rising in many parts of the world. Warm weather is causing glaciers to melt which results in the sea level rising. Earth 's average temperature has been rising for the last century in a half; and there has also been a steady rise in ocean temperature since 1969. It is said that climate control is man made and it is dangerous. On the other side of the argument, many people do not believe that climate change is real. They argue that their has not been a big temperature change in almost two decades. They also bring up the point of there not being enough data in the climate history to draw the conclusion of what is happening in the climate now is abnormal. Scientist started to record climate change around the 1800’s which many people believe is not enough data to do a comparison. Another reason some believe that climate change is not real is because of some instances where a scientist predicts a date of a significant climate change never happens. Rinkesh writes, “ For example:- Al Gore predicted that all Arctic ice would be gone by 2013. But, on contrary Arctic ice is up by 50% since 2012” (conserve-energy-future). Many people find that these reasons are why climate change is not
I decided that I am voting for Dr. Jill Stein from the Green Party because I believe she has the most compelling argument regarding climate change in the United States. I will not be voting for Donald Trump, a Republican candidate, because his ideas are not plausible. I firmly believe climate change is an extreme threat that needs to be taken seriously. If we keep ignoring it and do not take the necessary actions needed, the environment is going to suffer. Trump has made claims before that this is a hoax, when there is clear scientific evidence saying that our planet is being abused. These aggressive statements and viewpoints are not ideal for a potential leader. If he does not care about something this crucial, what else is he going to ignore?
Climate change, or global warming, is the gradual increase of the temperature of the earth Climate change has been a topic that has been talked about for awhile now If it is happening, if it is not, if humans cause it, and if it is happening naturally Humans could be causing it by the many things we do, but the earth could be going through natural cycles which is causing climate change. There is evidence to support all of these arguments. Even scientists are having arguments about whether it is occuring or not. In 2010 Climate Depot released a report featuring more than 1,000 scientists, who disagree that humans are primarily responsible for global climate change. I am going to tell you everything that you need to know about climate change.
Climate change is something very real in today’s society. People need to be more aware of what is happening to the world around them. CO2 levels are rising, the ice caps are melting and sea levels are rising. The awareness about global warming should rise...not our CO2 levels. According to the graph shown on NASA’s climate change website, our CO2 levels on earth have rose ever since the Industrial Revolution. Multiple greenhouse gases block heat from leaving Earth’s atmosphere. Over the years, the amount of fossil fuels that are burned, have increased greatly. Burning fossil fuels creates these greenhouse gases. The more fossil fuels we burn, the more greenhouse gases that are stuck in our atmosphere. These gases heat up the earth over time as no heat is capable of escaping.
Global Warming Global Warming is perhaps one of the most controversial topics currently known to man at this day in age. Human’s are constantly on alert for any potential “world-ending” catastrophes but the only seemingly possible one with reliable evidence is; Global Warming. Without evidence or proof, humans tend to believe any idea in general is non-existent/impossible, but with a meager amount of scientific proof, the world can indeed be alerted of the absolute truth behind global warming and the potential it has concerning our home, planet Earth.
Throughout my childhood, I have heard the term global warming over and over again, but what does it actually mean? Global warming refers to the increase of the Earth's atmosphere, which stems from the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect, besides humans, is the main reason that our planet continues to heat up. Sunlight gets trapped within our atmosphere, and it treats our planet as if it were a greenhouse. The more sunlight that gets trapped within our atmosphere, the warmer Earth gets. If the atmosphere ceased to exist, the planet would be a lot cooler than it is; however, if the atmosphere did not exist, neither would we! I have always known the threat of global warming to be something that sounded life threatening and scary, but is it really?
Global Warming One of the most substantial problems in the world today is global warming. This gradual warming of the earth is in occurrence at an extremely slow rate but it is happening. Many scientists believe that as human’s work and release greenhouse gases into the earth’s atmosphere, it can become dangerous for the long lasting life of humans and our environment. “Unless we take immediate action, the impacts of global warming will continue to intensify, grow ever more costly and damaging, and increasingly affect the entire planet - including you, your community, and your family” (“Global Warming Impacts”).
