Philosophical Statement and classroom management model I am committed to ensuring that I provide a classroom environment that is safe and supportive, as well as interesting and rewarding for my students by interpreting the curriculum in a way that meets the individual needs of the students, and is suited to their individual learning styles. Positive interaction between myself and the students will be modelled, and positive interactions between the students will be encouraged so that I can make learning enjoyable and interesting but also facilitate positive learning experiences between individuals and groups of students. Firstly, I will ensure that I am aware of the schools various school policies and philosophies that I need to be observed such as access and equity, the use of school technologies, the use of shared facilities and assets, and my responsibilities for students well-being. Secondly, I will ensure that the curriculum is interpreted in a way that ensures my programming and lesson planning is developmentally appropriate to the age and stage of development of the students in my class by assessing the knowledge, skills, experience and environmental factors that students bring to the classroom, reviewing the curriculum area, strand and specific topic, and actual content of the lesson is appropriate. My lessons will provide clear objectives which will include considerations about content, product, process and environment, and include a range of teaching and learning strategies. Thirdly, I will make unbiased professional judgements about groupings, timing, the teaching space required, and the resources I will need to excite, explore, and explain the lesson ideas and concepts. Finally, I will ensure that I fairly evaluate student learning, provide descriptive and evaluative feedback and reflectively evaluate each lesson to identify areas of improvement for myself (Whitton, Barker, Nosworthy, Sinclair & Nanlohy,
