Great leaders are found on both sides of history, the good side and the bad. Winston Churchill and Adolf Hitler were both good leaders, even though they were on different sides of the war. Churchill and Hitler, although very different were both effective leaders because they evaluate and understand the other side’s strengths and weaknesses and are underestimated. Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the opposing side is important during war because it means that one is able to use his opponent’s weaknesses against him during war, whether it is military or political. For example, Hitler was very good at using his opponents’ weaknesses against them, and this is evident by how fast he was able to invade Europe. The magnitude of Hitler’s
leadership and battle strategy abilities impressed others, even his enemies, because Hitler knew how to move and invade. While Hitler knew his enemies’ weaknesses inside and out, Churchill knew Hitler’s. Churchill knew what Hitler was capable of
You were taught manners since you were a child, but what would happen if you had the power and had control over the rules. In the beginning of Lord of the Flies, Jack in the begin was fine with just being the leader of the hunters, but he still greeds for more power, and wants complete control. As for Hitler, he wanted some power to show Germans to take pride in the country again, but same as jack he just wanted more. In the adventure novel Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, and the articles on Hitler by BBC, and Kershaw highlights the correlations, and disparity between Jack and Hitler. “Adaptive leadership is an approach to command based on the situation and factors such as mission, Soldier capabilities, geography, weaponry, and more. This ‘reality on the ground’ approach to leadership can give you as an Army leader both a strategic and a tactical ( ).” Winston Churchill was an adaptive leader in London during World War II. Prime Minister Churchill was a key part in the Allies victory over the Axis power due to his ability to rally not only his countryman but also rally the leader of another nation such as the United States or Russia into fighting Hitler. It’s evident what type of leader he was by just this one quote “To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.” Prime Minister Churchill exemplifies the characteristics and factors of adaptive leadership. He was like an Old English Bulldog -, resilient, and driven.

The British Views of Hitler Between 1933 and 1936 In 1933 Adolf Hitler came to power in Germany, this was a cause for alarm if not panic, in many countries not least Britain. It seemed certain that Hitler’s Nazi government would challenge the existing European balance of power. But the exact nature of this problem was not easy to determine at the time and is no easier now. Possible solutions to the problems posed by Hitler where therefore even more difficult to define. Before this period British attitudes towards Germany had changed several times since the end of the First World War.
He was enabled to adopt a vision and concentrate on the bigger picture that eventually helped claim a strong victory for his nation. Although some felt that Churchill was a ruthless leader that didn’t take no for answer was able to perform his democrat leader duties not even from a totalitarian dictator could stand his way. With his communication skills, innovation and trustworthiness made his followers strongly believe in him and eventually becoming the one of the greatest leader in history. Despite Churchill being considered to be a ruthless leader, he knew what Hitler was doing was completely wrong and was able to put an end to
Though not at first seeing the threat that Adolph Hitler posed when he rose to power in 1933, Churchill gradually became a leading advocate for British rearmament. By 1938, as Germany began controlling its neighbors, Churchill had become a staunch critic of British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain's policy of appeasement toward the Nazis.
According to vroma.org Julius Caesar said he would crush Rome's enemies in Gaul, he kept true to that promise. He was ruthless and willing to do anything to show that he could execute an order if asked. He let no man get in his way, even if it were his friends(McManus, 2011). This characteristic is also evident in Hitler's career. According to jewishvirtuallibrary.org Hitler stayed true to what he said till the very of the war. He refused to give up even when the war was coming to a close. He ordered a counterattack against the allies called the Battle of the Bulge, believing he could still salvage what was left of the war(Bard). Both were close in mind when it comes to following something to the
Support for the Nazi party was due to the growing belief that it was a
A Comparison of Stalin and Hitler as Dictators Adolf Hitler This assignment will introduce you to two men, Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin. Two men that were responsible for genocide and mass destruction, similar in many ways though on two opposing sides with completely different fundamental ideas. Adolf Hitler was born as Adolf Schicklgruber in 1889 in Braunau am Inn, in Upper Austria and committed suicide in a Berlin bunker in 1945. He was Chancellor and Fuehrer of the Nazi-Empire from 1933 to 1945. Joseph Stalin was born as Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili in 1879 in the Caucasian town of Gori in Georgia and died of a brain haemorrhage in 1953 in Moscow.
During WWII Hitler was in command of Germany and tried to exterminate the Jewish religion. In modern times Donald Trump wants to get rid of Asian and Mexican people in America in any way possible. In a lot of ways they are similar in what they want to do with their country. They both also said that they want to make their country great again.
Leaders are often portrayed as heroes and champions, but there is also a darker side to being a leader. Adolph Hitler was one of the strongest leaders in the last 100 years, if not the strongest leader of all time. He was a man with the ability to lead a country, with a population of 20 million people, against the whole world in a vision the way he saw fit. He led Germany out of economic depression after previously being through World War I. This is indeed what all leaders strive to be. Hitler is one of the best models for inspiring leaders. He exhibited some of the strongest qualities of being a leader, which included: vision, eloquence, charisma, strong will, and tyranny.
Hitler and Stalin rose to power after WWI and became known for their dictatorships that affected the lives of millions. They are examples of people who should not be leading a country. If, in fact, we imagine that we have these two individuals to choose from as President of the United States, we have to weigh the odds to decide who might do less damage to our country. Hitler would be a better President of the United States than Stalin because he was chosen by the people, he worked to privatize the industry, and he had the goal of using his power to improve Germany for the citizens.
After the end of World War 2 Churchill realized, that Stalin had gained control of a large portion of Asia, and now was trying to spread the ideals Communism. Churchill saw this as not only a threat to the United States and Great Britain, but also as a possible threat of a future war, between the English speaking world and Russia. Something that he desperately wanted to prevent.
Both Stalin and Hitler were dictators of a country that they were not originally from (Stalin was from Georgia and ruled over Russia and Hitler was from Austria and ruled over Germany). Both attempted to start their own nations, restore power so they could control people in which their political party was the only one allowed to assist the government, and denied rights to the individual.
“Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm. If you're going through hell, keep going. You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.” (Winston Churchill). Every leader in Europe challenged by Adolf Hitler had either back down or been conquered but the new British Prime Minister stood tall. Although he was one man, Winston Churchill saved Europe; He was and is a great inspiration and without him, the war would’ve been lost.
