In this essay I will be telling you about Christianity. Christianity is one of the most popular religions, with an average of two billion followers. I will be telling you the supreme being, sacred book, holidays, place of worship, and the symbol of Christianity. In my opinion Christianity is a religion that you have things to follow but you can still be yourself and be independent.
The supreme being of Christianity is God. Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God and savior of all humanity. Jesus came to fulfil and teach God’s law. They believe God is still here today through the Holy Spirit.
Christianity is divided into three branches. The three branches are Eastern Orthodox, Roman Catholic, and Protestant. Eastern Orthodox include the Greek and Russian Orthodox Churches. Roman Catholic includes the Catholic church. Protestant include many groups such as Methodists, Baptists, Lutherans, and many more. Even though Christianity is divided into these three groups they still all believe in God and are considered Christians.
Christians Holy Book is the Bible.The Bible is the best selling book in the world. The Bible was written by over 40 different authors but it had the inspiration from the Holy Spirit. The bible contains 66 books, divided among the Old …show more content…

Islam has about 1 billion followers. The supreme being of Islam is Allah. Muslims go to Mosque also known as “church” on Fridays to worship. Their holy book is the Qur’an. The symbol for Islam is the star and crescent. The most popular and important Islamic holiday is Ramadan. Ramadan starts on the ninth month of the Muslim year. During Ramadan there is very strict fasting from sunrise to sunset. You can’t eat or drink anything at all. After when you can eat or drink they usually have a big feast with family. As you can see the main difference between Christianity and Islam is that our holidays aren’t as strict like we don’t have to fast if we choose not
