Statistically, most adolescents who claim to be Christians throughout their childhood eventually break away from their beliefs sometime in their twenties. There are many reasons why this statistic may be true in some people’s lives. However, one of the main reasons people stray from their original beliefs is that all their life they grew up in a “Christian bubble” claiming the beliefs of their family members. Their parents or whoever had the most influence on them made the big decisions for them including those pertaining to their spiritual beliefs. Like many others at our school, I was born into a church-oriented family, both my parents are firm believers in Christ. I was at church on most Sundays. My family and I have always been members of the church and we usually attend Sunday school, Sunday service, and youth services. It has always been normal for me to go to church and believe in God, I have never really thought of it being any other way. I plan on continuing …show more content…

Going to a college that is not local means that my daily/weekly routine will be completely different. My church home will have to change and I will not have the same people in my daily life to keep me accountable with my walk with God. I also plan to try out for their all-girl cheerleading team. Just like anyone who does collegiate level sports, my schedule will be pretty busy. In order to keep a strong relationship with Christ, there are some things I will have to change. One of the things that I plan to do to keep myself accountable is finding a new church home. I have gone to many churches in my lifetime but they were all churches that my family picked together. This will be the first time that I will actually have to find a church on my own. Finding a church that I feel comfortable in will most likely be the hardest part of the move. I will need to find one that meets my needs and most importantly preaches the
