4.) Why do you think you should be selected to be in the child welfare program?

I think I should be selected to be in the child welfare program because of my passion for helping others. I work at an after-school program run by a non-profit organization and I help children with their homework, tutor them and help them learn how to study, facilitate activities including games, sports and crafts. But then, at the end of the day, they go home to their families, and I know some of them have it hard. But that is where my job ends. I wish I was able to do more for the children and their families, but my job doesn't allow me to do so. I sit and wonder how those kids and their families make do with their situations and problems.
I am dedicated to whatever I do, whether it is in my studies at school, my job, or at home. I put forth 100 % effort and I think working in the child welfare program you need that type of dedication. All of these traits I described above would work in both the program and if i was given a job opportunity. I use these traits in my everyday life and if I was selected to the child welfare program these traits would continue to show my integrity as a student. I am eager for the chance to showcase what i am capable of in my school work and professional career. There has never been a time when I didn't welcome a challenge and being selected to the child welfare program will certainly be a challenge. It will give me the chance to learn all that I can and to improve myself as a person too.
I truly believe i will one day be a good addition to the field of child welfare services and my school and credentials will show why. If given an invitation to become part of the program, I will learn all that I can in an effort to fuel my passion for helping others.
