From O*Net Interest Profiler result, I chose “Chief Sustainability Officer” as one of the career paths that I would like to explore more. Chief Sustainability Officer could also be called Director of Sustainability or Director of Sustainable Design. Their main task is to maintain the sustainability level of a company by coordinating it with the shareholders, management, customers, and employees.
Chief Sustainability Officer has several traits that, in my opinion, describe my personality. One of the traits is in the personality section, which is integrity. I want to describe this trait because I think integrity is one of the most important trait a leader should have. Moreover, integrity is strongly related to the sustainability of the company
itself. In my opinion, I am a person who has integrity because I will always follow the value which I believe is true. For example, when some of my friends try to take shortcut in doing their homework, I never do that because I believe it won’t give you any benefit, besides violating the rules. Another trait I want to describe here is in the skill section, which is thinking about pros and cons before making a decision. I was one of the student committee in my junior high school, and there will be many situations that require me to think and make the decision. I would always try to think not only from one side of view, but from many points of views. I should always consider the pros and cons of the decision. I think it should also be applied in the future, like in my college and career life. Therefore, until now I will always take time before make a decision. For the knowledge section’s traits, although I haven’t mastered any of those area, I think I am in the process of acquiring as many as possible of the knowledge needed right now. I think Purdue and all the instructors here will prepare me to be able to have those required knowledge, and I am sure I will be ready by the time I enter my career life.
Integrity can be described to who a person is when no one is watching. A person with integrity does the right thing even when they are alone and they know no one else is around. An example in the Marine Corps would be standing a post by yourself. If you are all alone on a post and no one else is scheduled to come out for hours, does the person continue to walk their post or do they
Integrity is a trait that is hard to find nowadays in people but that doesn’t mean it isn’t out there, you just have to look closely. I’m grateful enough to say that I know three people personally who have qualities of integrity. I was raised by a father who has implanted selflessness into my heart. My grandma has shown me how to love and my cousin has manifested how to be brave in life. Selflessness, love, and bravery are the qualities I believe a person of integrity
John Maxwell once said, “People buy into the leader before they buy into the vision.” A leader must have a solid foundation as a human being before he can try to pursue the public with his vision. He will be examined from every angle about his leadership traits, style, characteristics, and so forth. All of these areas of leadership come together in what we know as integrity. Integrity is doing what is right morally; it requires honesty, making the “right” decisions for the community, taking the blame, and being selfless.
Integrity: Do what’s right legally and morally. Leaders with integrity consistently act according to principles. (Not for just what’s in the moment). Great leaders with integrity make their principles known and consistently act in accordance with them. Leaders who have integrity mean they both are morally complete and true to yourself. Leaders with integrity choose the right thing because their character will not have them choose anything less. Last but not least is
I am responsible, in my job and life. As a maximizer, I focus on long-term goals and strive toward excellence. As a nurse, working in an environment of change, the strength of my personality allows me to adapt easily and figure out the best way to accomplish tasks (Strengths, 2012). I also took the DiSC Work of Leaders Profile to analyze my style. The results indicate I fall between Steadiness and Conscientiousness, leaning more towards Steadiness which gives me the style SC.
Character from multiple points of view is everything in leadership. It is comprised of numerous things, however I would say character is truly integrity. When you delegate something to a subordinate, for instance, it is totally your obligation, and he must understand this. You as a leader must assume complete liability for what the subordinate does. Trustworthiness, integrity, the characteristic of never purposely doing anything incorrectly, that you would never lie, cheat, or take, that you would give everyone a reasonable arrangement. Character is kind of a broad thing. In the event that a man has character everybody has trust in him. Soldiers must have trust in their leader.
The general personality traits, which are related to success both in and outside the workplace, are all inherent in my answers given in the Leadership Assessment Quiz. With statements such as, “it is easy for me to compliment others” and “team members listen to me when I speak,” it is apparent I possess these characteristics. Whereas my task- related personality traits associated with successful leadership, such as courage, still need to be developed. Not only do I know this in myself, but it is clearly pointed out throughout the test, with statements such as, “resolving conflict is an activity I enjoy” and “I would enjoy coaching other members of the team”.
A person of integrity can be relied on to do what they believe to be the right thing, even if it is an unpopular or controversial choice. Some occupations that are generally
Integrity is about having morals and principles and it helps to define one’s character. When someone has integrity, they tend to stay true to their beliefs and values, they are more understanding, and they possess a sense of leadership. Furthermore, having integrity shows that you are honest and will always make the right choices. With it, you gain people’s trust and they know that they can rely on you. A person with integrity is more likely to move up in the workplace because their boss can see that this person is reliable and honest and will always make the right choice when it is necessary. With all of these great qualities that display integrity, some people have a tendency to compromise it. These people may have made a bad decision, or somehow been dishonest about something. Additionally, the consequence could change their reputation for the rest of their life. Compromising one’s integrity could relate to a family member making the wrong choice, some professional cheating others out of their money, or an

Integrity is a concept that is closely linked to a person's ability to act accordingly with what is said or what is considered important. It is an integral thing that it is an element that has all its whole parts.. Integrity translates as honesty, honesty, respect for others, correction, responsibility, emotional control, self-respect, punctuality, loyalty, neatness, discipline, congruence and firmness in their actions. Integrity is a firm adherence to a code of morals and values. (citation) It has been said that integrity is doing the right thing when no one is looking. Integrity and character correlates with one another because it defines who you are in the presence and absence of others. In order to maintain a role of leadership, integrity is essential especially for those who choose to submit under a person’s guidance. An example for integrity is when a leader has funds set aside for something the public has invested for a certain purpose; Due to his integrity, he doesn’t use the funds for alternative reasons or for personal use. As a result, he fulfills the purpose of the funds rather than for other usage.
Sustainability is about the planet- healthy relation among people, profit and planet. Individual effort to earn money by business activity in the earth should be harmless to environment where it operates and beneficial to the people surviving in that society.
The following characterizations are based on ethical integrity: temperament, obligation, and consequences. Although ethical integrity is a matter of choice for people, why is it essential to sustain its standards and why should its standards be maintained in the workplace, in writing and in personal lives?
Integrity is, in my opinion the important characteristics because it’s a core quality of a great life, building a big “character” to ensure that someone knows right from wrong. My mom said to me “Without integrity you’re just a living failure”. Throughout my whole life I have used integrity in some way, shape, or form. Like playing sports, I have always been the leader of every team I played for if it was in basketball, baseball, and football. In sports having integrity is very
