Facts Kelly Mala had been at the Crown Bay Marina in the Virgin Islands getting gas when he went inside and asked an attendant to look after his boat. When Mala returned the gasoline was overflowing and shortly after he pulled away, his boat exploded. Mala sued Crown Bay Marina, went to trial, and lost. He now states that because he is a pro se litigant he should have received extra assistance from the court. Mala also argues that the court wrongfully denied his request for a jury trial and incorrectly ruled on post trial motions. The court rejected his contentions and will affirm.

The Crusades of the middle ages introduced much innovative and formerly unheard of merchandise into Western Europe; however the scarcity of these luxury goods instilled Europeans with drive to find easier access to the Far East. Although desired "Northwest Passage" never was found, joint-stock companies, like the Virginia Company of London, settled colonies in the New World for untapped resources such as silver and other tradable goods. Many more corporations followed suit, settling mainly in the Chesapeake Bay area, their small settlements eventually developing into the Chesapeake colonies. The Chesapeake colonies were focused primarily on profitable enterprises. At the same time, the New England colonies were being settled with a whole different set of initiatives, principally religious freedoms and family. Governing bodies were established, with their success dependent on the quality of the settlers the colony attracted. The different motives for settlement affected the routine events in such a way that the New England and Chesapeake colonies differed very greatly from one another even though they were both mainly settled by the English.
It was thought that the attacker traveled in a white truck or van but later it was found out that he traveled in a blue 1990 Chevrolet Caprice sedan

The Bailey Island Bridge is located in Harpswell, Maine on Route 24. Before the making of the bridge, the fishermen that lived on Bailey’s Island wanted a bridge that connected their island to Orr’s Island. The town of Harpsweell made and voted on their decisions in the weekly town meetings (“Bailey”). The project was stalled because of some of the mainlanders in the town, but it was brought back up for discussion in 1912. They first agreed on a “road” which would connect the two islands and would be constructed with timber. This was to cost $3,000. The cost quickly reached $25,000 at a later town meting because they decided to build the bridge with stone and concrete instead. Once the legislature decided to pass a bill stating that it would fun state’s highway and bridge projects, they decided to move forward with the project (Hansen, 36).

Justice William J. Brennan, Jr. wrote a dissent where he argued that the protective sweep represented the type of intrusive unwarranted search that the Fourth Amendment was created to prevent (Maryland v. Buie, n.d.). He also argued that the majority opinion’s limits as to the scope and timeliness of the protective search are not enough to prevent the police from abusing such an unwarranted search (Maryland v. Buie, n.d.). After Justice Brennan wrote his dissent, Justice Thurgood Marshall joined the dissent (Maryland v. Buie, n.d.). In my opinion, I disagree with Justice Brennan. From the facts of the Maryland v. Buie case, on February 3, 1986, two men robbed a Godfather’s Pizza in Prince George’s County, Maryland (Maryland v. Buie, n.d.).
