Fred Hatch was an American agricultural inventor. It's hard to picture the farmscape without a silo or some type of farmyard, an old run down barn and especially a tower silo. When you think of barns you also should think of silos. The towering, vertical silos we imagine today, especially here located in the Midwest, are a true American innovation and go hand in hand with barns. Farm grain wasn't always stored in silos; it was stored in pits where farmers had to dig out which caused excess spoil in many instances. In 1873, silos were nonexistent.
On October 20, 2014 a young male teen was fatally shot in Chicago, Illinois. The shooting occurred in the middle of the road and the suspect that was fatally shot was named Laquan McDonald. McDonald was just 17 years old and was the suspect after initial reports placed him in the scene of a possible car jacking. It was reported that Laquan McDonald had a knife and was also seen slashing tires of a police cruiser. When police had finally had him surrounded in the middle of the road, one officer opened fire and released 16 shots into his body. Another deputy on hand said the use of force was not needed because Laquan was not in any way trying to attack the officers present. The officer who fired the 16 shots into Laquan is named Jason D. That night, many witnesses reported having seen a man changing the tire of his van and waving any possible help away angrily while others reported seeing a woman wandering around the side of the dangerous highway. More witnesses reported that Kenneth and his wife were having many violent disputes at their home that usually resulted in Kenneth pursuing an angry Yvonne around the block. The most compelling evidence against Mathison, however, is purely scientific. Detective Paul Ferreira first noticed that the extensive blood stains inside the Mathison van. After hearing Mathison’s original account, he summoned the assistance of famed forensic expert Dr. Henry Lee to analyze what he thought was inconsistent evidence. Blood stains on the paneling and the spare tire in the cargo area reveal low-velocity blood stains meaning that the blood probably dripped from Yvonne’s head onto the floor. The stains found on the roof and steering wheel were contact transfer patterns probably caused by Mathison’s bloody hands. Blood stains on the driver’s side of the van were contact-dripping patterns which indicate that Mathison touched the inside of the van multiple times before and after moving his wife’s body. The final groups of blood stains on the instrument panel of the van were medium-velocity stains which show investigators that Mathison probably struck his wife at least once in the front seat causing the blood to fly from her open head wound. The enormous amounts of blood inside the van lead prosecutor Kurt Spohn to investigate the Mathison case as a murder instead of a misdemeanor traffic violation.
For example, Taylor and Zavala both received a Medal of Valor for saving children from a burning building. But the film does not gloss over the dangers of policing, nor does it make any of the police officers appear to be invincible. For example, not only was Zavala killed in the line of duty, but another officer in the LAPD was stabbed in the eye while on duty and could no longer work as an officer. While these occurrences are surprising, they do not necessarily occur to the average police officer. Even so, it is a reality that these types of risks come with being a police officer.
When you think your average baseball player, what do you think of? The player usually has all of his arms, legs, and no physical disabilities. Anyone who plays baseball would think it is hard to imagine that a person born without a right arm is able to play the game and let only be able to be a pitcher. Jim Abbott faces all the odds and has ten-year career in the major leagues. Abbott had to faces many obstacles throughout life and his playing career. Jim Abbott grew up being picked on since he didn’t have a right arm. When Abbott was younger he would use a steel hook as right hand and other children were afraid of him. Also, they called him names like Mr. Hook.

...is novel with an outstanding salute to those who serve in law enforcement saying, “And so I tip my hat to all the good cops throughout our nation who risk their lives and strive to do the right thing when facing split-second decisions about life and death every day in the kill zone” (Klinger, 2004, page 274). Pulling the trigger of a gun can cause a variety of issues both within and outside of a police officer’s life, but it could also potentially save another human being from harm and keep the safety of our society intact.

Everyday law enforcement personal have the possibility to face dangerous events in their daily duties. In performing such duties a police officer could come by a seemingly ordinary task, and in a blink of an eye the event can turn threatening and possible deadly. When or if this happens to an officer they won’t have
For example, according to Dara lind “Officer’s aren’t supposed to shoot to kill. They’re supposed to do whatever is necessary to disable the threat”(Lind). Whenever an officer gets caught up in a difficult situation where deadly force is needed for the most part officers do shoot to kill because they feel like there life is in danger themselves. Yes like they said they are supposed to do whatever is necessary so therefore if shooting to kill someone is necessary to them then for police officers it is the right thing to do. But in reality in some occasions deadly force by a cop resulting in someone’s death is not needed and there should be other alternatives to handle difficult problems like that. In addition, “Usually, the point from where the officer believes he has to use deadly force to the point where he uses deadly force -- where he pulls
