I chose chemical engineering as the career I wished to research. This career interested me the most mainly because I found out that this career involves two of my favorite subjects, which include both math and science. I have had the discussion of what I wanted to major with several different people and each telling me that engineering is a good paying job. I found out that engineers don't always stay in a office but they tend to get out and explore to perform mathematical or scientific research. Sometimes engineers are sent to different parts around the world and I find traveling being something I have always wanted to do. Chemical engineers work with chemicals to conduct research and design chemical manufacturing processes. I chose this career knowing that I would be doing some of the things I adore doing and that’s looking at complex problems hoping I can find the solution them.
Typical job duties include designing chemical plant equipment and devising processes for manufacturing chemicals and products. Applying principles and technology of chemistry, physics and engineering in everything they do. Chemical engineers design and plan the layout of equipment. They evaluate equipment and

People starting in the career usually have a Bachelors degree, no work experience, and no on the job training. About 59 percent of workers in this field have a bachelors degree. The percent of worker in the field who have something higher than a bachelors degree is about 28 percent. The remaining 13 percent have something below a bachelors degree such as an associates, a high school diploma. The percent of chemical engineers that a have something less than a diploma is 0 percent. When wanting to pursue a career as a chemical engineer its best to have some sort of education, knowing you got your education from somewhere will let companies know that you at least know
I could make a living doing what I love by either becoming a doctor or engineer. I love helping people and I could achieve that by becoming a doctor. If I was a doctor I could help create medicine to aide injured or sick people by using bioengineering. I could also do what I love by becoming an engineer though. I love being able to figure out which pieces go together, but I also
Everyone at one point has to make a decision on what they want to be when they grow up. For me, that decision came rather unexpectedly and was a result of a new found interest due to self-discovery. It all began when I was around the age of 8 and I watched a documentary on aircraft. It documented all about planes, how they work and the science behind them. I was immediately captivated and gaining all that information as a young child really hit the spot in terms of a new found passion and interest that I could see myself later using. This passion stuck with me ever since as I have spent tons of spare time studying different types of aircraft and collecting model planes. It ultimately helped me with my answer to the question of what I wanted to be when I grew up as being an aeronautical engineer. It is not a career most would pursue, but it shows how self-discovery impacted me at a very young age and the impact is so log lasting that it has influenced most of the decision I make now in terms of courses I take at school and the extracurricular activities I am a part of. Without self-discovery, I was able to gain an understanding of where my interests lay, the abilities I have to acquire complex information and the feelings I had towards my new found interest and
Focusing on pursuing a career you like is important because statistics show fifty-two percent of Americans are unhappy going to work every day because they chose a career they didn’t have an interest in. My ideal job is in the medical field because I’ve always had a passion in helping people. I want to specialize in nurse anesthesia because of the important role they have in society. Nurse anesthesia interests me because of the tasks they do, the advanced education path they must take, and the history behind the profession.
My current area of interest is in the engineering and the biomedical field. After experiencing the rigorous AP Chemistry course, I was able to find my passion in the field of medicine. Furthermore, I had already developed an interest in engineering from my previous engineering courses and clubs, so a deeper understanding of what I wanted to do was discovered in a chemistry lab. Being involved with the Technology Student Association at our institution, I learned several different skills in a variety of technical fields. This led to my conclusion that I wanted to become a biomedical engineering. This field of engineering incorporates both the medical aspect and technical aspect of what I want to become in the future.
Money and fame do not motivate my goals. Engineering in all forms is a field of innovation and invention. Aspirations of any great engineer should be to introduce to the world a new idea, product, or service that will make people happier and the environment safer. Success in these challenges is a reward greater than any dollar amount or public recognition. Engineers bring societies to new levels of civilization through their advancements in technology and discovery. The challenge to provide people with ever-increasing standards while at the same time feeding the population with ideas of what could be attracts my imagination, intelligence, and curiosity far more than any other career option. The engineering field embraces these challenges.

...ree careers make sure that every day activities do not lead to the degradation of the environment. For these reasons, it is clear that chemistry is beneficial to the way of mankind.
Throughout my school career I have always loved chemistry. In Chemistry there was always a sense that there was more, there was always something new and exciting to be discovered and theories to be proven (or even disproven). Chemistry was the main subject with a real practical aspect to it during school and it is this, along with my genuine fascination with the subject, which fuels my desire to study it further.
What exactly is a chemical engineer? Many would say that it is simply a "chemist who builds things" or an "engineer who makes chemicals. However, neither of these statements is completely true. The term "chemical engineer" is not meant to actually describe what it is a chemical engineer does, but to describe what sets it apart from the other branches of engineering: civil, mechanical, and electrical. On average, chemical engineers are numerically the smallest but also the highest paid. It is not a profession the must dwell on the past for comfort and support, for its greatest accomplishments are still yet to come.
In order to become a chemical engineer you must attain a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering which requires four years of college. Although you can become a chemical engineer after you attain a bachelor’s degree it’s highly recommended by employers for you to have some kind of on the job work exp...
Choosing a career is one of the most important decisions a person has to make in their life. It is so important because that is what we will have to do to support ourselves throughout life. Imagine being stuck in a dead end job and having to go to work every morning and dreading it. That is no spending oneÕs time and life is too short to work 35 years and be unhappy with it. If a person likes the job they do then it is not work, because finding satisfaction out of a job can bring great happiness. That information has enabled me to make the decision of choosing my area of study and career in the field of Information Technology.
For centuries, many scientists and researchers have pondered on the idea of combining two or more substances together to create something new. These explorations have led to the idea of what kind of reactions would occur when diverse elements are combined. This is a concept known as chemistry, a part of science that corresponds with how matter is created from different properties and the process it goes through to create a new substance. Chemistry is a scientific concept that is used in everyday life and is a crucial part in the development of new technology and substances that allow today’s quality of life. The use of chemistry branches off into many different routes, including medical related fields, agriculture, and even in weapons of
When you want to advance in your field you must be able to obtain certifications in many different programs. When you have a certification it says something about what you know as an engineer, “Certifications provide status to those who have proven their knowledge and give employers a benchmark standard for measuring employee candidates” (Ricci, 2012). Before you apply for a mechanical engineering job you should get a bachelor but now in the workplace you will need a master’s degree to have a chance of moving up in the workplace. Bureau of Labor Statistics (2015) says, “Some colleges and universities offer 5-year programs that allow students to obtain both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree”. Having this choice will allow you to save money on college and then be able to have time for internships and possible a job while you complete your
Having a degree in chemistry opens the door to a wide array of careers. These jobs include chemical engineer, analytical chemist, and pharmacologist. The job that has me most interested is a Chemical Engineer. These top of the line engineers turn raw materials into useful products. They can make petrochemicals,
It has taken a very long time for me to decide on the path that I wanted to take for my career. I have almost always known that I wanted to be an engineer. I was always more interested in applying my knowledge to solve problems rather than just research and understand the world. However, I had little to no inkling as to which field of engineering I wanted to go in to. I had always been a dabbler, involving myself in a large variety of activities with the interest of learning about how stuff works. I started out learning how to use the tools in the shed outback, making pinewood derby cars and model rockets. I would help my dad with home improvement and repair projects around the house. As time went on, my ability learns and apply
