There is never a good reason to lie. I disagree because I would lie in order to save my friend’s feelings. For example, when a friend of mine worked on a project and asked me, “is it good?” I lied and told her it was. Another example that comes to mind is if you are pressured to do something that you don’t want to. You may have to lie in order to get of the situation. My parents agree with my decision.
Cheating on tests or quizzes, even if the teacher is unfair and everyone else is doing it, is always wrong. I am not sure because I would want to pass the class. I would want to pass the class and proud of passing by studying. However, I doubt I would cheat because of my pride. My parents disagree, they believe cheating is wrong.

In conclusion, cheating is a dishonest action, and its effects could tremendously impact other people around. Alerting authority figures about dishonesty actions can help motivate students to learn the subjects thoroughly and build meaningful life experiences. Although we might lose a friendship, but in the long run, friends will be thankful, since who knows if they are in a situation, where they actually need to use their knowledge, in the workforce they are
“For every clever person who goes to the trouble of creating an incentive scheme, there is an army of people, clever and otherwise, who will inevitably spend even more time trying to beat it. Cheating may or may not be human nature, but it is certainly a prominent feature in just about every human endeavor. Cheating is a primordial economic act: getting more or less” (21). This quote is important because it proves how everyone has cheated once. In many cases it is true, people often cheat on tests or even on their diet. Not everyone can live up to their expectations. Some may justify it, others proudly proclaim it, and others will try denying their cheating vigorously. Most people consider cheating as a bad and unwise action. In this novel, it gave two examples of cheaters, school teachers and sumo wrestlers. It shows how both authors can take two different people and still find something similar with both of them, like cheating.
The most dominant reason people cheat on tests is that they did not study. Some people think for them to pass they have to cheat; it is the only way out. The pressure of a student knowing one test can decide or change your future. Knowing the consequences of failing people will go out of their way just to cheat for a high grade. Some students are lazy and believe cheating is easier than studying hard. Cell phones, gaming consoles, laptops technology can be a big distraction to all students in our generation. Certain students don’t have enough discipline to listen to their conscience because everyone knows what’s right and what’s wrong. Friends and partying can be a huge distraction that’s why students don’t study. Friends will try to get you to go to parties and do things that’s illegal that’s why parents are very worried about who their children hang out with. Then you have students who honestly don’t have time to study. Not everyone can afford college or living on campus so some study has to get a job to support them. Unfortunately, a thing in life happens where people have children and they don’t have any time to study. Stress can play a tool on student’s mental health or their physical health to when they can’t study at all.
Some people may argue that lying is ok to protect someone’s feelings. Those who believe say, that if your friend is wearing an ugly dress and they ask you if they look superb. You would say,”Yes,” right? This argument is wrong because if they go out with that same dress on and they get made fun of they will blame it on you. This is why you should tell the truth, not blunt but nicely so you can keep friendships and relationships.
What is cheating? Cheating is the dishonesty of an individual for their personal advantage. Base on various studies conducted cheating is getting worse among students. Students are cheating to get higher grades so that they look smart. Students are even cheating their way into colleges and universities. This is becoming a major problem and it does not only affect students but school administrators, employers and even generations to come. Don McCabe (2010) conducted a survey among 24,000 high school students at 70 high schools in the United States. 64% Of students admitted to cheating on a test, 58% admitted to plagiarism and 95% participated in some form of cheating. For college students, 70% of students, report to some form of cheating.
We were told that we should be honest no matter what happens. However, today it seems lies are somewhat part of our lives. Sometimes dishonesty really does harm to others, but there are some situations when lying is acceptable and it's a better decision. I myself lie bad and good all the time. I think lying is okay in a certain situation.
They say lying is needed to help keep friends, not lose someone you love, and have better opportunities in your life. In the article “It’s the Truth: Americans Conflicted About Lying” a man named Cohen says, “Not only is lying justified, it is also a moral duty”. People who believe in those things and in other reasons that lying is justified are wrong. To keep friends and someone you love you need to tell the truth by being honest. You also need to be honest in life. Say you applied for a job interview and you lied but you got the job. You applied because its a good job and they pay well. But one day the lie will be discovered and you will end up getting fired. Then next time you apply for a job interview your application might say you’re a liar so you won’t get the job. So you should’ve just told the truth and who knows you might have gotten the job. Telling the truth has more advantages in life than lying. In life lying never gets you anywhere and it can take great opportunities from you. So if you are one of these types of people who lie you might want to think about it before
Modern students face many pressures for academic success. They are often unwilling to disappoint their parents or spouses. Some fear that not cheating will weaken a student’s ability to compete with their peers. They rationalize their unethical behavior, unwilling to accept a poor grade, consequently justifying cheating as the only means to that end.
The purpose of this article is going to describe the management issue which is the leadership, the first statement in this report it will be to identify the specific underlying management issue that is the leadership, and also will identify the management issue of the OSIM, is the type of the leadership style that has been seen to be in operation, and then it will discuss the transformation leadership in the end.
In my experience as an adolescent, there have been many instances where my friends talked behind my other friends back, and in these types of cases I have learned it is better to deny that such instance occurred. Doing this would mean that my friend would not be unnecessarily hurt by knowing the painful truth, especially if the drama will dissipate within a few days. In an article titled “Lying”, Tim Mazur says it may be more immoral to tell the truth than to lie, which is the exact opposite to what we were conditioned to know. Situations that are more serious than just a sour end to a friendship highlight the truth to this unorthodox statement. In the instance that was mentioned in Mazur's article, there was an experienced doctor who has the choice of telling the truth or a lie about the shortened life expectancy for a sick and depressed patient.
"I’m preparing for the real world. Business is unethical. Cheating is just good training. I’ll be better able to handle what’s put at me when I get out." "‘Oh, it’ll only be this once’ or ‘Everyone else does it, so why shouldn’t I?’" Sly glances at a neighbor’s work, an open book on the lap, or even high-technology methods—the resources of the cheater are many and varied. Whatever the methods, there are many statements like those above to justify cheating. For example, in the United States, surveys show that more than half of all students cheat, or have cheated, during their school years.
Lying is justified, it's sometimes okay to lie.
In the article, Lying is Good For You, Lacey Rose says, "We lie to avoid awkwardness or punishment. We lie to maintain relationships and please others. And, of course, most of all we lie to please ourselves." These are all reasons lying is acceptable. Anyone can better maintain a relationship based on the fact that they compliment each other where compliments aren't due or that the person didn't eat the last cookie to protect from getting in trouble but they really did eat the cookie. A great way to effectively lie is to take the blame for someone you know someone else did. That can help your relationship with that person by creating a sense of trust and appreciation. Lying about things that may please the other person in your relationship will cause a stronger relationship and protect the feelings of
Furthermore if you do not lie you will lose many good life opportunities. You might also lose good friends if you do not lie. First of all, lying is sometimes acceptable when it is done to protect someone mentally or physically. For example you can lie so someone does not get hurt.
Overall, I think it is morally wrong to lie, and if you truly want to be a trustworthy person, you should not lie. It diminishes the truthful bond in a relationship, a collapse between friends, families, or even acquaintances, and no one will believe, and have faith in you once you lie too many times. Also, there is no need to lie in front of your friends, as long as you have a strong bond between the two, trust is one of the important element of having tremendously good friends, of which you could be proud. However, under certain circumstances, lying may be a right thing to do, for your own good. So, to conclude, the best way to end this essay is to state that do not lie as much as possible.
