Over the years, the United States has evolved into a place where culture defines the American experience. Despite the difficulties that come when people have different life experiences, diversity carries strong importance in many organizations. Diversity comes in many forms such as race, age, income, and background. However, the most relevant is race. Race is defined as categories that generally reflect a social definition recognized in this country and not an attempt to define race biologically, anthropologically, or genetically ("What is race?," 2012) . Race is determined by self-identification. In 2043 the U.S. Census projects no single ethnic or racial group in the United States will constitute a majority. This historic shift is reshaping our interactions and day-to- day activities in America. . Our schools, workforce, electorate, and communications industry is affected by this change. Within, the public relations industry pr experts are constantly searching for the perfect platform to display their message. Consequently, PR experts need to understand the projected Census because the racial categories now will become even more segmented in 2043. Being able to speak across multiple platforms while creating a standard PR plan is the solution for 2043. Understanding a variety of publics is important now and will be even more important in the future. To understand your target audience better, you should know their current attitudes, opinions as well as interests. On the basis of this information, public relation practitioners should formulate public relations campaign in such a way that it caters to the need attitudes of its publics ("Public relations essentials-understanding," 2009). Creating a diverse and flexible PR plan will be crucial to the effectiveness of company messages to consumers. The biggest take away is that the public relation professionals must be willing to make changes to company guidelines, practices, and ethical decisions before 2043.
