In addition to the models on the performance and growth, we will take again a model for the establishment of the business that can easily be adapted or even transposed to existing enterprises and their development but to understand this model we must take it to its origin therefore on entrepreneurship. The various models presented follow the chronology so that we eventually develop a comprehensive model for determining growth.
The first model presented is that from Gartner. Unlike research seeking to determine the characteristics of growth, the vast majority of the literature on the creation of the company focused on one or more specific aspects of this phenomenon without seeking to develop a comprehensive framework analysis. Gartner has proposed an analytical model of entrepreneurship including the majority of the variables used in the literature to describe the phenomenon of insulating variables differentiating entrepreneurs from non-entrepreneurs; these phenomena are those of entrepreneurship and the creation of the
The ethical discernment model described by Slosar (2004) and developed for use at Ascension Health will assist us as we analyze this case. It reminds us that discernment engages our spirituality, intellect, imagination, intuition, and beliefs. Leading a company can be a daunting task. It involves many different levels and many different people that all strive to maintain the organization. This is a major task for even the smallest companies. Most mom and pop companies can accomplish this with only two or three people. How can someone that runs a larger global sized organization accomplish this task? Regardless of the size of the organization this can overwhelm even the most experienced leaders. In order to promote healthy development based on the four theories and the developmental tasks of middle adulthood, the nurse and S.O. devised a plan by setting a list of goal for S.O. to work toward. S.O. and the nurse agreed that as the client, S.O. will continue to manage and maintain a healthy balance between career, finances, and family. S.O. will also continue to contribute positively to her family by caring for her grandchildren and being a positive influence for them. Furthermore, she will continue to be active in her church by teaching Sunday school and leading a girl’s bible study. In order to deal with the stress more communication may cause S.O. and to improve her mental health S.O. will allot an hour or two a day to alone time so she can just be quiet and get away from stressful circumstances and people. S.O. will also work on accepting the changes in her body due to the hysterectomy and aging process. She will attempt to feel less frustrated by these changes and let her anger passes quickly. Finally, S.O. will continue to look to God and her husband for support, while continuing to grow these relationships daily. Leadership has been defined as the process whereby an individual influences others in accomplishment of shared objectives. Leadership is not a one-way linear event in which only the leader affects the followers but a process through which leaders influence and they are affected by their followers. It is undisputable truth that the success or failure of an enterprise is dependent on the presence of a visionary leader who is able to offer direction in achieving the business’s objectives. Leaders are known to inspire and instill a sense of dedication and zeal to their followers which are principles crucial for success. There are 2 ways that a firm grows, which are organic and inorganic growth. Organic growth is internal growth which means to expand your business and increase your turnover without acquisitions or moving to new markets. This type of growth is more planned, slower and more natural hence the term “organic”. It involves very little change to the organisations structure and can be easily managed. Advantages of organic growth is that it is much safer than rapid growth or growth using external resources through acquisitions and mergers. Not as much capital is needed so there is less risk on your finances.
