To write a review for this movie isn’t easy because what you see in it depends on your point of view. The story is quite simple: The movie take place during the second world war and everyone who wanted to leave europe and go to america had to go through Casablanca. By this time almost everyone who lived in casablanca was waiting to get transit papers so that they could leave but to get these papers was hard and expensive. The plot starts with the murder of two german couriers who had two letters of transit. These letters have a high value because they allowed the owners to travel without other permission through the europe and to america. The murder of the two german couriers stole theses papers and he goes to the bar owner Rick Blaine, who is played by Humphrey Bogart, to hide them in his bar. By this time major Strasser from the german military arrives at casablanca. He is looking for the resistance leader Victor Laszlo who is played by Paul Henreid. Laszlo tries to escape from the german government by going to america with his wife Ilsa Lund, played by Ingrid Bergman, and he has to pass Casablanca. Rick refused to help Laszlo to get the papers because Rick had once a relationship with Laszlo’s wife which didn’t turned out well. But these are only the main plot elements. …show more content…

For an example in one scene Rick talks outside off the bar with one of his friends about the situation is casablanca and the entire time spotlights are moving over them what is similar to a prison. This and other things make the movie dark and shows how the people feel during their time in casablanca where there are constantly watched and just hope to leave as soon as
