This paper is about a job I thought was interesting, agricultural engineer. There are many things that interest me with this job are: working with farmers, brainstorming new machinery, and getting to work with technology. There are many things that ag engineers have done and much more they can do; however, becoming an agricultural engineer takes many strenuous courses to get the proper degree.

There wouldn’t be enough food in the world if farmers still planted with animals. If you google tractor brands, I am sure you will find Massey Ferguson. That company started in 1911 when Massey Ferguson created the very first modern type tractor that started the progress of farming. With his creation it was efficient enough to plant more seeds faster. This tractor was called the “F” model tractor and does look similar to tractors today. One of the most helpful and genius ideas of their time was the McCormick Reaper. You may not know what that is; you may also think that is a formidable name. The McCormick reaper was the combine of the 1830’s. Being one of the biggest helps because picking corn by hand? I think that would be a nightmare to any farmer in the world! There is no way to describe the tempo change in farming. What a relief it must have been if you had one of the first ones! What could run such a machine? It requires very smart thinking and many strenuous courses in order to get the proper degree. First of all, you need a bachelor's degree in agricultural science. If you are thinking about this career you should try to major in either engineering or agriculture. Majoring in one of these two categories will give you a head start when looking for an opening. Choosing the proper college is a good idea. Since I live in Iowa, colleges near me that would be good are either ISU or SDSU. Being an agricultural engineer has many benefits.
