The city of Cameroon is located near the border of the Atlantic Ocean, its neighbors are Congo, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. The republic of Cameroon is a democracy which grants executive powers and control to its president. The languages dominating this republic are English and French and has an area of 475,650 Km2 which will turn out to be slightly bigger than the state of California in size. The monetary unit in the republic of Cameroon is the Franc, it has been pegged to the euro since the early 2000’s. The climate of the southern part of the republic is hot and moist due to annual rainfall while the northern part has a more comfortable climate. It was estimated that the population of Cameroon in 2005 was estimated to 16,380,000 by the United Nations (UN). The republic of Cameroon offers roads, both paved and unpaved for transportation, as well as railroad systems and international airports for its people and visitors, indicating that their infrastructure is a developing sector. The education provided for its people begins at the age of six, the primary school will be held for six years, and the secondary school will have a cycle of 4 years. There is opportunity to attend university but is usually not something that only a few get to experience, although in recent years there has been advanced studies that indicate there is an upward mobility for education in this region. The main sources of economy in Cameroon are agriculture, manufacturing sectors, and petroleum. The republic has invested in its infrastructure growth indicating that they are enhancing the opportunity for future investments by other nations. Gabon’s GPD (gross domestic product) is estimated to be around 7.7 billion dollars. The GPD is divided into three sections the first being agriculture making up 8%. Gabon’s agriculture consists of cocoa, coffee, sugar, palm oil, cattle, and fish. The second section, industry, contributes 67% of the nations GPD. Gabon’s industry includes textile, lumbering and plywood, petroleum, cement, manganese, uranium, gold mining, and chemicals. Oil was located of the coast of Gabon in the 1970’s. She loves children so much and this is why at a very young age, she visits the orphanage every week to help the mother less babies. She would baby sit those babies, cook and feed them, wash their clothings and help out as much as she could in any way possible. She also has served in children’s ministry for years and has held different positions including as the president of the ministry. Ghana is a country located on the west coast of Africa; Africa is a resource rich continent that supplies much of the world with diamonds, oils, petroleum and more through trade. The country of Ghana has undergone revision in their labor forces in the past twenty years, Ghana has moved more from the traditional labor sector like agriculture to more modern sectors. One of the more modern sectors of Ghana today is the industrial sector which is relatively small and is mainly operated by the Ghanaian government. The industrial sector was expanded by the government and president to employ the unemployed and promote investment in the private sector. After the 1990’s Ghana has seen consistent economic growth but their economic growth from the last eight years has increased tremendously. In the most recent of years ( after 2004) the growth rate of Ghana started to accelerate and it increased to over six percent between a five year span from 2005-2010, with the average being above seven percent in 2000 and 2009. The increase in sectors has taken Ghana from a poverty rate of more than half 51.7% to 28.5% by the year 2005. Before Ghana’s independence on March 6, 1957 most of the country’s gdp was contributed to agriculture and the industry sector was less of a contributor. Recently, between the years of 2001-2010 the roles of whom or what contributes to the gdp has switched. Most of the contribution to the gdp is that of the service sector. Even though, the service sector has risen to the top of the economy, agriculture is slowly but surely is rising back to the top of Ghana’s highest gdp contributor by the way of nontraditional exports like automobiles and cocoa.
