Did you expect the conclusion/culprit to be who/what it was? If so, what was some evidence. If not, what led you to believe otherwise?
I expected Bushy Trott to be the culprit for the fabric factory robbery of the recipe for the fabric because he had worked at both factories and knew the recipes for the fabric making. I half suspected that he plagiarized the music because there were a lot possible people who committing the crime and the evidence did not lead directly to Bushy Trott.

tried to catch the plagiarist and prove that Bushy Trott had stolen the music and was saying it was his.
Nancy looked in the attic for the music that was published she looked for papers of music Mr. March’s son had composed and tried to find the songs that were published. Nancy found a note the red Riggin can’t you find another good song? From. L in the attic. Riggin was Bushy Trotts real first name the L at the end of the note stands for Lally which is Ben Lally, Bushy Trott sold one of Mr. March’s songs that he said were his to him, Ben Lally was desperate for a good song or two because he didn’t like any of his songs he composed. So one of the songs Bushy Trott sold to him, Nancy found this out when they figured out that it was Bushy Trott that did it, and he confessed and told him what he did and why there were two different composers. Along with this, Nancy’s father Carson Drew a lawyer, came invloed with a mystery about two fabric companies that had the exact same fabrics, he believed one of the companies stole the formula from the other factory. Bushy Trott used to work at one of the companies, he quit and got a new job at the other
fabric factory, ever since he started working there they have been using a new formula, to make a different fabric. The company owner did not realize that he had stolen the formula from the other company, so he did not know that they were using a different recipe to make the fabric. Bushy Trott had been in jail previously for robbery. Nancy figured out that it was the same formula by taking samples of each formula, she snuck into the company that stole the recipe than the other company let her take a sample. She compared them and they were the same.

...idence in the conviction of Melanie McGuire. According to Champod (2004), Beth Dunton may have skipped important steps necessary to collecting fingerprints from the trash bags. If fingerprints had been collected from the trash bags, this could have cleared Melanie or added to the mountain of evidence against her. According to Rossmo (2009), all of the circumstantial evidence gathered by investigators could have been declared coincidental. There was no “smoking gun” to convict Melanie. Despite possible errors, the investigative team was successful in remaining free of bias being that the evidence collected by two different investigative teams led to Melanie McGuire as the suspect and ultimately to her conviction. Human error is inevitable while conducting investigation, but ultimately a jury of peers found Melanie McGuire guilty of the alleged crimes (Glatt, 2008).
