People may ask, why do kids bully? What causes them to inflict pain on others? Well individuals have to remember that not all kids live in a household where the parents are happily married, love their kids, and give them whatever they want. Most of the kids who bully, live in a household where they are abused and neglected. They have parents who are unhappily married or divorced and the kids feel like being there fault. The child is thinking to himself, “why are mom and dad fighting? Is it my fault?” So when the bully is picking on his victim, he may have learned that from home and he is trying to use his aggression that he has inside on other peers. What many individuals do not understand is once something has been posted on the internet, it will always be there. Even if the individual goes to delete the post, it might disappear, but it is never gone and can always be obtained. When it comes to social sites, individuals do not understand that once they press pots, anyone has access to that post at anytime. Students also do not understand how liable they can be for the things they post on social media. Posting about illegal substances, or underage drinking or sexual relationships can get students in trouble with their school and with the law without them even knowing. Cyber bullies can get themselves in trouble for the things they say or post about an individual on the social site. If the bully is harassing a student, non stop and the student decides to commit suicide, the bully can be liable for the death of that student even though they didn’t actually kill them themselves. The School 's Code of Conduct needs to be updated frequently to provide students a safe and secure environment to be able to learn in. Bullying is when an individual has power over another person. He/She feels like they are in control and usually involves physical contact. Harassment can happen anywhere and can be based on anything. Unlike bullying, harassment, is usually not physical. The harasser only wants to bother the victim continuously. Their ultimate goal is to intimidate, embarrass, and isolate the victim from others. schools all over the country. Within U.S. schools, for every four kids enrolled, one is bullied on a regular basis. Victims of bullying were more than twice as likely as other kids to contemplate suicide and about 2.5 times as likely to try to kill themselves, due to the bullying these kids are put to endure the emotional effects of being teased, harassed, beaten up or otherwise harmed by their peers. Cyberbullying has become and has had an influx. From a time from where bullying was only seen in school, it can now be found just about anywhere on social media. All the actions of bullying and harassing are now usually resulting in a very tragic ending, the number of individuals committing suicide or other forms of self harm are only increasing. To try to resolve this ongoing problem, most public places have established certain rules and expectations that everyone needs to follow
