A graphic designer has been extremely overloaded with work and the deadlines for all the work are around the same time. The designer is becoming overwhelmed with all this work. The designer decides to look for shortcuts in order to be able to finish all his/her work on time. The designer gets the idea that is would be much easier to steal someone else's work off of the internet and pass it off as their own original work.
The designer discusses this idea to his/her peers over a coffee. They all strongly advised that the designer does not do this as it is breaching copyright and will not only put him/herself in trouble but the client, his/her peers and the boss in trouble also.

This is because the person who stole the work is responsible and can be charged for breaching copyright. The designer could obtain a criminal record if convicted within a court trial. But they aren’t the only one involved with this issue. Breaching copyright would also affect the whole company as it will put a bad reputation on the business which then also puts fellow colleagues at risk of losing their job due to a low amount of business. There is a possibility that it could work and they could get away with it. But it just isn’t worth it. If by chance the designer got away with breaching copyright, his/her fellow peers may see this and think that they could pull it off themselves. This will then cause more and more people to breach copyright within the business which will then come back to the original designer who breached copyright. If the designer was caught from the start. Fellow peers work and the original designer’s previous work will all be checked which will cause inconvenience within the
The company might face the problem of having their advanced software technology stolen because they were not protected by any patents. It is common that competitors steal somebody’s ideas and develop them. Competition will then be more intense.
Copyright is the set of significant exclusive rights that have been conferred on the authors of works or copyright owners. It is used to protect their work from unauthorised transmission or copying and to the protection of their moral rights. These moral rights include the right of integrity of authorship, the right against false attribution of authorship and the right of attribution of authorship.
A copyright owner does not need to register an original work in Australia; the Copyright Act 1968 will automatically protect it, if it is expressed in material form. However, copyright does not exist in the idea itself (An introduction to copyright, 2012).
This copyright law was created In order to keep an artists work from being exploited and used, if you wish to use it you will need permission and perhaps will have to pay
Cheating is a big issue that has reached the most competitive campuses around the United States. It is increasing more and more with the new technology that we have in the 21st century because students have easy access to many sources of information. Cheating is something all students have done at some point in their lives, but as they reach a higher academic level, they are faced with more rigorous consequences that can affect their futures in many different ways. Cheating might be seen as an easy way to obtain a good grade, get into a good college, or maintain scholarships or financial aid, but the consequences could affect the life and the future of the student.
Copyright is not a natural process; it is essentially an agreement between the state and an artist, where the state gives the artist a monopoly on works they make for a certain time in hopes that this artist will continue to create more works. This agreement is beneficial for all parties; the artist gets money for their work (as no one is allowed to produce copies unless granted permission) and an incentive to create new works. The state has artisans to keep the public happy.
I believe that handling a project from a client that conflicts with my personal artistic style would be taken as a challenge and an opportunity to grow and develop my experience and skills further while bringing my own unique touches to the design by incorporating facets of my artistic style to distinguish it as a custom or original

Client(s) may be in the first stage of our design thinking sequences (Archer, 1984, p. 67), and then the designer job is to explore what is the problem, what do we want, what do they need: to produce a design to meet the requirements. The initial design problem presented to the designer may be poorly and incompletely described (McDonnell, 1997, p. 45...

The better educated you are, the better off you are socially, and economically. Having a degree is, in general, a good indicator of your level of education. To get it some students study very hard. Others, on the contrary, prefer to take some shortcuts that seem to be easier for them. Those, not so much interested in acquiring a solid education, simply want to plagiarize to pass their classes, to get that degree. Plagiarism spreads out through any level of our education system. It even extends beyond that limit to reach almost any aspect of our society. With the internet revolution, this problem becomes more acute. “The web has provided global access to an unfathomable cornucopia of term papers, essays, and other scholarly works, right there out in the open for purchase or outright theft” (Simonson, Smaldino, & Zvacek, 2015, p. 160). This paper will discuss the different types of plagiarism. Before getting deeper into that discussion, we will start by explaining the word plagiarism.
Plagiarism is taking someone else’s work or idea and using as a benefit by making it look like it has not been copied from some sort of source. Plagiarism can be done unintentionally or intentionally either way it is a serious crime especially in schools and universities because it is known to be a form of cheating.
Plagiarism has been a very controversial theme in our school, plagiarism is something we commonly do without noticing. Doing plagiarism brings many consequence because you are stealing an author ideas and using it for your own benefit. We need to be very careful went writing essays because we can commit plagiarism. Went you copy an author’s idea you need to use the correct citation for it don’t be interpreted as plagiarism. Plagiarism according to the Concordia University is "the presentation of the work of another person as one's own or without proper acknowledgement".
