Birth Song: I was born on June 25th, 1999. The song that was number one out on my birthday was, ‘If You Had My Love’, by Jennifer Lopez. I think the message of this song is about a girl who has been cheated on and because of this she demands that she is treated right. Part of the lyrics from this song is, “Now if I gave you me, this is how it's got to be. First, I won't take you cheatin' on me. Tell me who can I trust if I can't trust in you and I refuse to let you play me for a fool.” Jennifer Lopez mentions that if she gave herself to him, she wants the relationship to have trust in each other, and does not want him to use her or be cheated on. Her lyrics sound like she has been hurt before and does not want to be hurt anymore. “I don't want you, trying to get with me and I end up unhappy (Don't need the hurt and I don't need the pain)” I connect with this lyric because I have dated guys before Aaron and …show more content…
This song has a special meaning to me because, in February, Aaron and I saw this stuffed animal that sings ‘Count On Me’. Aaron would also sing that song to me. Also, l used the song in a slideshow that I made for his Valentine’s Day present. Bruno Mars states in his lyrics “And if you ever forget how much you really mean to me, Every day I will remind you”. This part of the lyrics in the song that is special to me because when I am negative about everything, Aaron is always there to challenge me to be positive. I can also be negative about my relationship with him. I tend to doubt in my relationship with him because I am afraid to lose him and I have been through heartbreak. Aaron would always tell me to stop doubting in my relationship with him and just focus what is going on now, not the future. Therefore, I have been trying to stop doubting my relationship because I can count on him. Just like Bruno Mars can count on his friend, I can count on
Cantecul Miresei, a piece also known as “Bride’s Song” is a Romanian piece, which by the english title is used for weddings. The ensemble playing it consists primarily of a brass sections with trumpets, tubas, trombones, and baritones, giving allowing the melody to be doubled in a higher and lower octave. The lower instruments also articulate the polymeter structure: triple meter with 2 extra beats. This meter is made more prominent by the scratch board and percussion. The dynamics stay mostly constant, until the closing of the piece where the quick diminuendo leads to nothing and the tempo stays constant. The melody travels between octaves, first starting with the trumpets, making it bright and piercing, virtually impossible to mistake. The
I have chosen to do two songs waiting on a woman by Brad Presley witch the whole song makes a gender stereotype about woman always making a man wait. The second song I choose to do is George Straits A fathers Love which enforces it’s hard to be a father and what a good strong dad role model is. Both songs spoke to me in different ways.
The pain fell like rain, kissing the tender cheeks of Mrs. Mary Rowlandson and the family of a little boy named Nawath. Both are stories of tragedy and the ultimate sacrifice of love over loss, or visa versa told in, “The Captivity and Restoration of Mrs. Mary Rowlandson,” by Mrs. Mary herself and in, “Stay Alive My Son,” by a Mr. Pin Yathay. Both families are ripped from their comfortable lives, only one will be reunited and the other will not. Both dealing with the final act of love, but through two very different cultural perspectives. It fell steadily until one night, it flurried, no longer grazing the cheek, but staining the heart. That’s the thing about pain, it demands to be felt.
The thought of the day that I found interesting was “worry is a futile thing, it’s somewhat like a rocking chair. Although it keeps you occupied, it doesn’t get you anywhere” -Anonymous. This quote means that there is no point in worrying because you can’t succeed and move forward, if you worry all the time. This quote relates to the song “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts because the lyrics “I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow, and each road leads you to where you want to go.” show that stress and worrying is bad and you should try to find ways to avoid it. An event from my life that the quote and lyrics show a connection is when I had a technology project in the 6th grade where we had to build wind powered cars. When the teacher
In this song one can tell that the singer is very sad and depressed about many things that have happened in his life and the love ones that have passed away. When he sings this lyric “My sweetest friend…. I will let you down” you can tell that it is about how his loved ones have passed on and he let
“Over There” is a song written by George M. Cohan in 1917. Nora Bayes, Enrico Caruso, Billy Murray, Arthur Fields, and Charles King were among many who recorded the song. It was written as a propaganda piece encouraging young American men to join the army to fight in World War I. The song was incredibly popular, selling over two million copies of sheet music and one million copies of recordings by the end of the war. Cohan, the writer, was eventually even awarded a Congressional Medal of Honor for his work on this song.
I can personally relate this song to my past relationship with a guy of 2 years. We had many rough patches while we were together. There were things in the relationship that I can never erase; yet I feel as though I will never fully let him go. He's still trying so hard to get me back and I'm taking advantage of it. I get many mixed emotions about him and the thought of starting up the relationship again. The hardest part is that he's the only person I truly feel I can completely be myself around. Yet, I fear that it will start right back where it ended. All he wants to be is my giving tree and make me happy.
"Wanting you back” Don’t we all love a tragic love story? In the song “When I Was Your Man” by Bruno Mars, you can feel his anguish by listening to the song its self and also by watching his music video. Bruno strays from his original upbeat songs and goes to the piano to play his mournful melody. This song of Bruno’s gives examples of how he wishes he would have treated a girl in the past better, so he could have her in the future. He also wishes her the best and tells her he hopes the next man can do all the things he should have done when he had the chance.
During the Romantic Era, there was reaction against the Enlightenment 's privileging of Reason. The Romantics valued emotion and imagination alongside reason but made an attempt to maintain a balance between them. It was a commonly held belief by Romantics that logic had its boundaries. Therefore, they preferred to search for meaning through nature, the sublime, longing and philosophical idealism, more than logic. Mary Wollstonecraft in A Vindication of the Rights of Woman emphasises the importance of educated females to allow them be capable of expressing themselves as individuals. Similarly, Felicia Hemans in her poem, Indian Woman’s Death Song, stresses the importance of understanding societal pressures and not allowing these pressures to
She describes how it affected her and how he was a negligent lover. She goes so in depth with her words and I felt just as hurt as she did when I heard the song. This can be interpreted as a message to all women and men who feel as though they are not being treated fairly in their relationships. If your significant other can drop you in a heartbeat, then they do not deserve your love. “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You” is a remake of a song by Frankie Valli and the 4 seasons, but it ties in with the album so well. She speaks of a man that did her wrong, but she cannot seem to stop admiring him. Something a lot of people can relate to. There is nothing wrong with admiring from afar, but letting that same person that hurt you back into your life is a different story. Essentially this is just a playful song, and she is not encouraging people to start loving the abuser all over again. The final song is called “Tell Him (Live),” to wrap up the album she talks to everyone that did her wrong. She says despite all that they have done, she does not regret one thing in her life and she is happy with the person she is
Beginning with the lyrics in the opening scene of “We Found Love”, a female voice speaking about being in a domestic violence situation and the difficulty she is having deciding between staying with her partner or leaving. The statements; “you almost feel ashamed that someone could be that important, that without them you feel like nothing,” and “when its over, you almost wish you could have all that bad stuff back, just so you could have the good” (We Found Love, 2011) depict the power that the man has over this woman, even in situations where she is being victimized. This theme continues throughout the music video as the male character is se...
This song can possibly help people get through their depression after a break up and could help people want to keep moving forward after a hard breakup. People will say that this song is also making that breakup harder for them but if you think about what the song is trying to say it helps get through that hard breakup with someone that you used to love with all your heart. Songs that talk about harsh breakups like this one almost always have a deeper meaning to them than what is being
Borrowing from Friedrich Nietzsche's statement, "That which does not kill us makes us stronger," Kelly Clarkson unleashes an up-tempo empowerment anthem for recovering from bad relationships. Everyone endures a bad breakup at some point in their life, and a pick me up song like "Stronger," written by Jorgen Elofsson, David Gamson, and Ali Tamposi helps listeners pick up the pieces of a broken heart and move on to bigger and better things. Breakups can be extremely difficult, and they can be amicable; no matter what, no one really wants to go through them. The loss of a relationship can bring on intense heartache and stress. After being down for some time, it takes trying to look for the positives of the loneliness, instead of sadness and grief. When the positives are found, the feelings of happiness will overcome.
... chance to fix everything, we have a chance to be together for real now, without any secrets to the world or without any contraints, we have a chance to be us in love, and to me nothing else matters more. Well the fact that you still thought of me after all of that time does, but I can't let you know that, not yet, I already lost you for so long that I can't pick a chance to loose you again. Not after loosing you because I wanted us to seem real. I wanted us to be real to our fans. They already suspected that we were a thing anyway. I thought you would be happy that I wanted to show the diamond I found to the world. But you left that night, you took my ring and you left me. You never came back before that day in town, the day you putted the pieces to my life back together.
“Lonely” is one of those songs you need when you just went though a break up. It 's the sad or negative part of love. He has so many emotions in this song like, regret, sadness, and compassion. I picked this song because I think it shows a great part of love, the part when you realize what you had but not that thing is gone. A lot of people take love for granted and don 't realize what other do for them until those people leave. It shows how selfish love can be at time’s. This is one of the worst things about love is having your heart broken into a million pieces. One of the most painful things I have ever experienced. The song is very popular though because
