Your professor is mundane and your ability to focus with all of the side conversations is impossible. Almost all the material is in the textbook or online, but your attendance is often times mandatory, so you have to go and make that unwanted trek to class. Along with these problems, some professors demand a specific edition of textbooks, which would cost hundreds of dollars more than the older version, and the only difference students can find is the physical appearance of the books. The California Student Public Interest Research Group published a study in 2004 that found new editions cost 58 percent more than older editions and newer editions are not that different from previous editions (PresslerE01). Everyone’s input in a collaborative situation will play a role in final solution.
Applying Bloom’s revised taxonomy to a flipped classroom, students are doing the lower levels of cognitive work (remembering and understanding) outside of class, and focusing on the higher forms of cognitive work (applying, analysing, evaluating, and creating) in class, where they have the support of their peers and instructor (Brame, 2013). The flipped classroom model addresses this in The Flipped Manifest (Bennet, et al., 2011): Learners have immediate and easy access to any topic when they need it, leaving the teacher with more opportunities to expand on higher order thinking skills and enrichment. Offloading some information transfer allows a classroom to develop that understands the need for teacher accessibility to overlap with cognitive

As the economy has changed in the last ten years so has the schools budgets and they are looking for ways to keep costs down. There is much evidence that distance education can be more cost effective than traditional education. Everyone can save a substantial amount of money by going with an online education because schools would not need facilities and equipment. Schools would also save money by not needing to provide services and programs to students. Students would save by not needing to drive to and from school, buy school supplies, and they can earn a degree in half the time than a traditional school setting.
